From the Marbles - NASCAR

There are certain partnerships that are so perfect you wonder how it took so long for NASCAR to go without. And now we have another: Tony Stewart and Burger King.

Stewart-Haas Racing has announced that Burger King is on board for a "multiyear sponsorship agreement," starting this year. The BK Lounge will be the primary sponsor on Smoke's No. 14 twice, at Daytona on July 4 and at Dover on Sept. 27.

Smoke gave the usual PR yadda-yadda about how happy and thrilled he was to have Burger King on board; the deal includes Burger King becoming the "exclusive quick-service restaurant sponsor" at Eldora Speedway, Stewart's dirt track in Rossburg, Ohio. And yes, that's very wonderful and all and we're happy for Tony, even if Burger King's food has a tendency to taste -- hmm, how should I put this? -- already digested.

But nobody can compare with BK when it comes to marketing plans. So if I don't see some campaign with the creepy silent King rising up in the back seat of Smoke's car or climbing the fence with Tony, I shall be very, very disappointed.
