The best entrance music in UFC history
Part of what makes the Ultimate Fighting Championship such a great all-around entertaining show is the introduction music the fighters pick as they make their way to the Octagon. We have heard everything from country to rap to children's music. What are the best five in UFC history, and who chose the music?
DMX - "Ain't No Sunshine"
It isn't an Anderson Silva fight inside the Octagon without two things: First, a victory for the spider, and second, hearing this song as he confidently makes his way to defeat his next victim. The combination of the effortless way DMX raps and the effortless way Silva fights in the cage makes this a perfect combination.
Blur - "Song 2"
This entrance music is the best thing that Michael Bisping has going for him. The Count has come out to this theme on several occasions, and it makes sense for the fast pace he attempts to set in the Octagon—before getting knocked out anyways (thanks Dan Henderson).
Duran Duran - "Wild Boys"
Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic loves Duran Duran, and has used this song for years throughout PRIDE and UFC. To fans that only became aware of Cro Cop when he came to the UFC, you knew he had to be a bad dude if he came out to this song, and he certainly is, but unfortunately for him his opponent that night wasn't scared and used a Cro Cop-esque kick to win.
Jimi Hendrix - "Star Spangled Banner"
Nothing says Captain America for Randy Couture much like the Star Spangled Banner from Jimi Hendrix. This might be the most known version of the song of all time, and will always be remembered by UFC fans because of Couture.
Puff Daddy and Nas - "Hate me Now"
Frank Mir used this song at UFC 65, heading into his showdown with Brandon Vera. While Mir suffered an embarrassing first round TKO, this song is a great tune to get fans pumped for the action.
