Female fight fan: Predictions for UFC Live 4, Marquardt vs. Story

Picking up the thread from UFC 131: whom did I choose and how did I do with my fight predictions?

Normally, I only make a prediction if I'm familiar with the fighters - meaning that I've seen them fight before. That means, I made picks for eight out of the twelve scheduled fights.

I predicted Florian, Munoz, Cerrone, Stout, Beltran and Soszynski to win.

If only I'd stuck with Dustin Poirer, who trained in Louisiana with someone I train with now. But no, I chose the British lad, Jason Young. Plus, I picked Shane Carwin. Those were the two I missed.

Most memorable punch of the night? That left hook from Hands of Stone Stout had me in the gym practicing hooks all week.

Worst decision? Michihiro Omigawa in his match against Darren Elkins got robbed. Never leave it in the hands of the judges.

Rick Story vs Nate Marquardt: after watching The Horror Story put a beat-down on Thiago Alves at UFC 130, I'm switching my allegiance from Nate to Rick to win this welterweight match-up. But, it won't be easy. Look for heavy punches thrown by both men.

Cheick Kongo vs Pat Barry: Cheick is more well-rounded, plus he really needs a win.

John Howard vs Matt Brown: Matt's hungry for a win after 3 losses, but I'm sticking with John DoomsDay Howard, Boston connection.

Matt Mitrione vs Christian Morecraft: Matt to win

Manny Gamburyan vs Tyson Griffin: After fighting Jose Aldo, I don't see Manny losing to Tyson who's dealing with a three fight losing streak and dropping to 145lbs.

Joe Stevenson vs Javier Vazquez: Following in Kenny Florian's footsteps and making his debut at featherweight (145lbs), I pick Joe Daddy to win.

Joe Lauzon vs Curt Warburton: After losing to George Sotiropoulos, Joe needs a win. Another Boston connection.

Daniel Roberts vs Rich Attonito: Daniel to prevail over Rich - even though Rich (debuting at 170lbs) is the better striker. UFC.com breaks down their fight game as 74% striking for Rich with Daniel being better on the ground (striking at 4%).

Michael Johnson vs Edward Faaloloto: I like Michael Johnson after watching him on TUF.

Nik Lentz vs Charles Oliveira: Tough call! Going with Nik Lentz

Ricardo Lamas vs Matt Grice: Ricardo to win

TJ Grant vs Charlie Brenneman: TJ to win
