Cagewriter - UFC

Spike and the UFC are really teasing us with the promos and leaked video of episode five of "The Ultimate Fighter." There is some sort of "shocking" knockout. This leaked footage features Matt Mitrione and Marcus Jones, which probably means neither guy sees the cage. Who is in the knocked out fight that Rashad Evans is looking at? It has to be one of his fighters, right? Or did Quinton "Rampage" Jackson ignore another one his losing fighters?

After the leaked footage and promo were presented to the Cagewriter lab, the conclusion is that it's a caucasian leg in the shot of the KO'd fighter. Who is it? Justin Wren? Or is it "Meathead" Mitrione, as Evans is now calling him? Other Team Evans' fighters are seen outside the cage, so they can be eliminated.

Thanks to Cage Potato for unearthing this footage. CP continues its reign of verbal terror describing Jackson as "Bumpage". This follows a harrowing and controversial week when CP insulted all Italians with the slur "guido." Let's hope they don't pull out a "tomato can" this week.

That CP piece was hilarious. Everyone calling Phil Baroni wereguido and speculating on how he will do his hair now that GSP's greasegate has changed the game a bit. Just rich.

OK, Zapruder...Who's the person walking in the middle of the cage behind them? I think he's somehow involved.
Knockouts aren't shocking in and of themselves. Is it possible that the KO was from a punch after the horn or a knee to a downed fighter or some other foul?
Or...Return of Kimbo? Would they have Return of Kimbo without giving the world one week's notice?
I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's a DQ, keeping Team Rashad undefeated. If it's one of Rampage's guys and Rashad had to go check on him again, then that's just awful.

most CP pieces are hilarious....and if anybody is offended by its "reign of verbal terror" then you shouldn't be on the site and obviously don't appreciate good humor.
speaking of "verbal reigns of terror" cofield........did you happen to read the comments on your recent nick diaz blog? hahahahahaha, hilarious. cofield owned.

Wow...I had completely missed that article...much less the blogger beatdown.
That's rough, Steve. He definitely read the comments, since he posted an update with a link to the surgery photos. At least he took it like a man as opposed to running out of the proverbial cage.

I've heard other stories where it wasn't someone on Rashad team that got knocked out, but they were lying in the corner gassed or hurt after knocking the Rampage fighter out. Still should be a good episode to watch.

I would imagine Rashad's guy won, then couldnt get up after winning because of abuse he took. My prediction: Dude is getting owned on the feet, it goes to the ground and he gets a rear naked. After the Rampage fighter taps, he cant get up.
    p.s. Lesnar owns.

all you guys are wrong!!!!! just to let you guys know its Justin Wren who gets knocked out. if you pay attention the the preview you can see Justin walking out of the cage. and if you look at the rest of the fighters on the out side of the cage you can break it down on Rampges team on who knockes him out. so its either Wes Sims , Zac Jenson, or Kimbo Slice if Marcus Jones gets hurt or one of the other two gets hurt or kicked off.

breaking down the video, here is what i got: the leg is not very defined muscularly, and it looks very long. wren has undefined legs (2:06 mark), but his legs look definitively bigger than the clip's leg. perhaps it is a camera tricking me, but i conclude it to be sims' leg. sims fits the description at 6'10" and not too muscular in the legs. i think wren ko sims.

ok but wes sims has long legs his knee would be higher then that and if it is one of rampages guys im sure one of the coachs from team rampage would b checking on him 2 but not if its one of rashads guys bcuz rampage doesnt like any of them. just wait and see im going to be right.

How dare you guys credit CP for "Bumpage." Everyone knows that King Mo was the first man to coin the term in what was a classic clowning of quinton i don't wanna be an fn fighter jackson.

ALLL OF YOU GUYS ARE RETARDED!!! and your all wrong. obviously what happens is that justin wren gets hurt in practice. so they cant have a fight cuz no one else cut weight. so mike van arsdale fights tiki goshen to fill up space. you can tell by the leg that it is indeed mikes leg. hahaha im just kidding guys. its actually greg jackson that fights tiki... haha jk bout that too. its greg jackson vs jason thacker. he comes back on as a replacement.

let me expand on my conclusion...a lot of times when someone gets ktfo, both corners huddle around the fallen. that is my explanation of how rashad would be there with the fighter, be it sims or not. i still think it's sims' leg, the leg goes nearly up to the standing trainer's thighs and it isn't at a 90 degree angle yet. i am on west coast atm so now i have to turn this off for a few hours to avoid finding out ahead of showtime here. i hate that.

    Good call, Pilot.
Technically, since he passed out, is that a submission or a TKO? If a TKO, then you even got the method right.
Calling Wren as the winner is a little creepy. I thought they had switched Wren on to Marcus Jones when he asked not to fight Junk. Did they switch him to Sims way back then, or did they switch it up again?
