Just after the fighters stepped off the stage at the UFC 93 weigh-in, the UFC president weaved his way through several topics presented by Kevin Iole (Yahoo! Sports), Gareth A. Davies (The Telegraph) and Neil Davidson (Canadian Press).

He put to rest rumors that UFC 100 would feature the Brock Lesnar-Frank Mir rematch. And said it won't be in New York at Madison Square Garden.

White also discussed "the fairness and appearance" of having light heavyweights Dan Henderson or Rich Franklin move down to middleweight and potentially derail Michael Bisping's shot at a title against Anderson Silva.

Apparently, British prospect Jimmy Wallhead didn't make the cast of TUF 9. Davies asked why he fell short but White couldn't pinpoint a reason. It's kind of surprising that a fighter with 20 fights under his belt didn't make the show. Davies seems to suggest that Wallhead didn't make it because he couldn't get by the talent evaluators from Spike who base their choices on personality.

"fairness and appearance" of Henderson and Franklin moving down to MW???? Derail Bispings shot at Anderson Silva!! Where the hell did that come from. They both fight at MW. I'm wondering why they're fighting at LHW...except they can't be the Spider. It doesn't matter who Bisping fights...Franklin, Henderson or the SPIDER. He will lose.

After seeing the weigh-ins I might bet the dog for Coleman. Rua doesn't look 100% healthy to me.

Dana did not answer the llegit question i thought. Ok hendo or franklin takes him on after TUF9 they fight there at 185 Hendo or Franklin wins over Bisping thus taking him out of the running for a title shot against Silva. Then say they move back up to 205 and don't take on Spider what happens to Bispings prospects there? Answer: bispings ranking will tell. If they fight Anderson and pehaps win the title and then go back to 205 what are Bispings prospects for a title shot then?
Answer: the title holder that moved back up to 205 cuts weight and gives him his shot at MW if his ranking says he's in contention. Why Dana couldn't give that answer instead of the non-answer he did about the opponent being the bigger and better man i do not know.
BearDown I live in B.C. there is more on what I wanted to say there in that thread. check it out if you like even if you have to go to the "older posts" section.

If Franklin beats Henderson, and then Bisping, none of them get a shot at Silva anytime soon and there are already limited challenges for Silva at MW. And Silva might make good on his retirement plans when he tries to complete his contract so he can pursue boxing.
Expect UFC to do everything they can to prevent that, even if it means dragging him through the courts like Couture.

UFC has become one big YAWN. Congrats Dana White on creating something, and then succumbing to the "it's entertainment after all" mindset. You've lost what made it great. Talk to boxing....remember that sport? Now you get it.

If bisping gets beat then he doesn't deserve a title shot. Period. Coming down in weight is not an issue. If a fighter can make the weight then it follows that he is that weight class.

UFC owes the Vegas elite for all the support they showed them when the company was trying to gain a foothold. You can bet UFC feels obligated to return the favor by staging their biggest events in town to draw tourists to the hurting casinos. Brock Lesnar isn't fighting anywhere outside of Vegas as long as he is a draw and the economy is down.

I think UFC 100 should be more of a 'Throwback' or 'Tribute' PPV. Why not Shamrock vs Gracie from UFC 1?
Featuring some of the best rivalries like Couture vs Liddell, Penn vs Sherk and Bonnar vs Griffin would be cool.
How about Hughes vs Serra finally.
Fights like Randleman vs Coleman or Sylvia vs Ortiz would be fun to watch
Henderson will face Bisping, Silva will destroy either one & retire, then become a boxer. We need some new blood in the Middleweight Div. to challenge this guy. We have to go overseas and grab some talent (Brazil, Japan)

Bisping shouldn't get a title shot anyways, I like the guy and all but Matt Hamil whooped his ass! The only reason that Bisping was given the decision was because the judges knew that they'd have a hard time making it back to their hotels without being killed by some smelly drunk soccer fan in Bispings backyard!!

Dana White is ruining the sport! His greed is making too many top fighters unhappy. Look at how many fighters have had problems dealing with this guy:
    Randy Couture
    Tito Ortiz
    Andre Arlovsky
Fedor Emelianenko (the best fighter in the world)
    Josh Barnett
    and more...
