Where in the world is Rampage Jackson?

Things got interesting last night in the Quinton Jackson arrest. Where exactly was he staying overnight? Initial reports had him going to the Orange County Jail then TMZ.com reported he was not booked because he was "medically unfit" and was sent to an area hospital.

UPDATE: The Orange County Register is reporting Jackon has been admitted to a hospital for mental evaluation.

Acquaintances of the former light-heavyweight titleholder flagged down officers driving past his home in the 100 block of Whistling Isle about 4:30 Wednesday afternoon. His friends were concerned by alarming comments and behavior and wanted officers to decide if Jackson was a danger to himself or others, said Irvine police Lt. Rick Handfield.

He was rattled by the defeat, telling friends Monday at the HB Ultimate Training Center in Huntington Beach that he had barely been sleeping, said "Razor" Rob McCullough, a former World Extreme Cagefighting champ.

Jackson, who is divorced and has four children, spoke of being under heavy pressure and seemed weary of his sport's limelight, McCullough said.

"It sounds like he had a nervous breakdown," McCullough said today. "It all just got to be too much for him."

It looks like someone got lucky and may have made some cash with the photos that TMZ posted. The first photos that hit the web were taken from a house across the street from the scene on the Balboa penisula section of Newport Beach. Someone else came onto the scene in front Rampage's truck and shot this video that landed on TMZ.

Obviously many fans had fun with the original photos. The entire country appears to be well-versed in photoshop. One man who may benefit from Jackson's legal issues is Chuck Liddell (pictured in the back of Jackson's truck). If Liddell beats Rashad Evans at UFC 89, nothing should stop him from the first crack at new UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin.

One company that may not be pleased is Rampage's sponsor, Toyo Tires. It wasn't a banner day for the tire company as the shredded tire photo from Jackson's truck is all over the web.

"Revenge is a...ahhhhhhhhhhh!" That should've been Forrest instead of Iceman up there, given Iceman has yet to beat Rampage. Lastly, this is not even funny b/c this incident is making MMA look bad.

What is it with people...they get money, fame, and then they think they're above the law! Why not stay at the scene and tell the police what happened. Stand up - be a man - and face the music!

The one big problem is did he really think he would evade anyone in a truck that is basically a billboard of himself??? That to me is more troubling than his hit and run..

rampage is over rated and obviously stupid ... he should be released from the ufc or atleast be suspended. thats what he gets for driving a truck with his own pictures all over it ... forrest used to be a cop ... they should have called him to come arrest him.

Something must be wrong with Quentin. He's been a great role model prior to this incident, there must be more to this story than it seems. I hope he's all right.

As stated by Phillip -" You people are [profane]ing dumb [profane]s for insulting Rampage. I be all of you have made equally [profane]ty decisions with your life....maybe you just didn't get caught. " -Phillip
WOW... ya my last bad decision was almost killing people and running from the police. Don't compare us regular Joe's that make minor mistakes to one that almost took lives and damaged a lot of property. You Sir get the dumbest comment of the day award, CONGRATS!!!!

Why does everybody already think he is guilty. He is a respectable guy and deserves to tell his story first. Why would someone who is still a number 1 contender, risk his carreer for no reason. He was after all in the room when Jessie was tossed. Maybe I'm wrong but I think we should wait to cast judgement. But since he has a good sense of humor the pictures should keep coming.

Bet when it all comes out it'll be those dudes in the 2 cars tried to run Rampage off the road. It's KKK and cops in it together. You know that's down in Orange County CA. Need Rev. Jesse and Rev. Al to come down and get the truth out. Hope Dana White doesn't take advantage of Rampage in his medical condition.

Seriously, we need to not make assumptions till we know exactly what happened. He'll get a 2nd chance. Hopefully. I'm sure Dana will just suspend him and not kick him out. Other pro sports give players a 2nd chance. I just hope he's okay. Ain't fun being taken down by PD
