You cant train and improve a glass jaw. Slice went down so easy it was embarrassing. As far as Slice goes. as Chick Hearn would say, " The mustard's off the hotdog"........

NEXT. He lost to a man that took the fight on 1 DAYS NOTICE. All Seth had time to do was dye his hair and apparently that was enough. Send him to the backyard, where he belongs.

Don't be a media darling. Go train - on the ground too! Not just boxing. Train for a year or two then fight some real fighters and not some bums or guys who suddenly drop out of the fight and put in place a nobody. Next time, don't take the fight.

Is Kimbo the only farce in this 3 ring circus? The way I see it the whole MMA is a farce right along with CBS. Anything to make a buck and to take peoples hard earned dollars to watch something that is just a step above WWE. But, I guess everyone has their taste in entertainment. In my opinion if you want to see World Class Fighters then pay to watch boxing. And even then you are taking your chances at that since there is more hype and B.S. in Boxing today than at anytime in history.

Kimbo showed why he should of just started like everyone else who starts in MMA and that's to start at the bottom at slowly prove your self. He bought in to the I am KO machine and charged Seth Petruzelli who kept him off with a nice front kick then missed with a defensive jab then caught a raging Kimbo half way on his chin with the same jab.
Let this be a lesson to all who love this sport that you can't make a champion by fooling people with hand picked opponents.
The rest of the card was good free entertainment.

Brian N. has it right. Isn't the MMA a case of "Life Imitating Art?" I thinks we saw this nonsense in a couple of very bad movies: "Fight Club" and "Road House." The fact that a Nobody like Kimbo Slice can become generate as much publicity he did while doing absolutely nothing, proves that Henry L. Mencken was right: "You'll never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people."

EliteXC will have problems finding opponents that are on Kimbo's skill level. He should be fighting amateur shows. He's definitely not good enough to be professional yet.

You have to look at Kimbo in the same light as Mr. T. He was intriguing to a lot of people due to his unusual look and YouTube exploits. He could train BJJ all day long and it wouldn't matter. If you have a glass jaw as he clearly does, you will never be a competitive fighter. I dont hate on Kimbo for taking what was given him. Nothing wrong with making a buck off people dumb enough to believe in a hack talent. I see a lot of anger pointed Slices' way when it should be pointed at the Shaw's.. If Kimbo were truly a good KO artist, dont you think Shaw with his boxing promotions would have put him there?? Especially considering the weak HW division... Bas Ruten is overrated. Is that the best he could do ?? Hacks all the way around..

Kimbo lost. He is not a super hero. He has had 4 total MMA fights and now he's done? Not at all. Many guys take their lumps and bounce back. He is still a "rookie" and should get better with experience. His time is up with Bas Rutten though and he needs to train with some different coaches and fighters in order for him to grow as a fighter.
Shaw should catch a beat down for putting all the hype and pressure on Kimbo.

Too bad the ref didn't let the fight go on another 30 seconds.
Kimbo's "career" would have been over for sure.

lol......kimbo was about ready to get up.......and was so dazed by the beating that he tried taking the referee down. the dude was ktfo.....get over it jivecat. it was never that big a deal anyway. the match had no significance other than to improve ratings. kimbo was and is a sideshow that mma could do without. nothing against him,but there are fighters who deserve his spot in the limelite now that he was knocked out of it.

You guys are all missing the obvious... EliteXC is just as prone to fixing as professional boxing. Obviously someone wanted this fight to go down the way it did. I mean come on... you think it's just coincidence that Shamrock got "injured" and couldn't fight? As soon as MMA went on prime time TV, I knew it would all be a joke. Might as well call it WWE.
Magic M... I agree completely with your assesment of Wetzel. I'd like to see him get in the ring once.

Im glad he lost so He can learn and stop having to fight every 3 months to carry an organization. He lost his forth fight. So? No one ever said he was the best anything. He always says he has a lot to learn himself. For people to say things like he is a side show is stupid. He was in his 4th figth. For the dude up top saying he lost to a dude who got a days notice. The dude who beat Kimbo beat a guy who got a day's notice. Randy said it best. Now he can work on becoming what he wants to be as a fighter. maybe the media and bogus fans can quit hating cause a fighter in his forth fight isn't fighting Fedor or NOG.

To Brian N and Jstndring, this is why all of the true fans of MMA cant stand what EliteXC has done. To a casual observer, this is there only exposure to MMA which it isn't. True MMA is being done in the likes of UFC, Strikeforce, and the WEC as well as some smaller regional organizations. I like some fans started by watching the UFC and through them I have developed a knowledge of the sport and can appreciate the sport as a whole. Elite XC is nothing more than a failing boxing promoter trying to make money on a sport that is more in demand than their own. I was also a boxing fan, but I cant see spending money to watch 2 very overpaid fighters dance around and be cautious for 12 rounds. In MMA you are not guarenteed huge amounts of money for simply showing up like in boxing. You get a base salary and it can double if you actually win. This way you are going to get a better, more exciting fight for the most part.
As for Kimbo, I just read that he made 500K for 14 seconds of work. Sounds like a "take the money and run" senerio if you ask me. Maybe he knew EliteXC wouldn't be around long and he wanted as much money as he could get. If not, whatever Elite will be no more sooner rather than later.

Thank you for the respect that you show for the business and being reasonable to man who we all know was only put into this position to carry a failing company. Thank you for knowing that any given day a fighter can lose and not calling the man everything but a child of god.
What kills me is that people make a big deal out of Kimbo but in fact it wasn't his idea to hype himself the way Shaw and EliteXC did. But i can't say i wouldn't have taken the shot that he was given...Hell, any of us would have. The same way we would have jumped in the ring with Mike Tyson for a 7 figure payout knowing that we'd probably get our skulls crushed. Thing about Kimbo was - nobody expected him to beat Bo Cantrell but when he did EliteXC said okay, we can make some money off this guy. Crowd response was crazy. Why dod you think his fights have been in FLORIDA!!!!
To all of you who have nothing but bad things to say about Kimbo 'the man'...i feel sorry for you. Is there anyone that you do like or do you sit around and hate everybody who has a little more money than you do? Do you hate everybody that gets a chance you think you deserve? Stop spending so much energy hating this dude. Hope for the best for him, maybe someone will do the same for you.
I'm not a big Kimbo fan. But i don't think he's half as bad for the sport as the Skamrocks, Tito Ortiz, or Dana White's attitude towards good fighters that he's got a personal beef with! EliteXC ain't the greatest promotion in the world but i wish them the best anyway. I'd love to see KJ noons fight Nick Diaz again, Carano vs Cyborg, and hopefully if they can last long enough Fedor vs Randy(love the guy for not bashing Kimbo like everyone else that has).
Just my opinion, and i don' hate anyone else for theirs but some of you really should lighten up and see who the real bad guy is(Shaw)!!!

cagepotato.com has the rest of the pictures. my favorite is where he is wearing a rainbow belt and showing off the tatooed flames coming out of his upper a&& region. you know how guys thinks its hot when some trashy thing has some ink work on her lower back region. seth fonzarelli thinks so to so he got himself one too.
seriously, can kimbo show his face around the hood without people whooping it up at his expense (from a distance i presume)? getting teabagged in your hometown in 14 seconds was bad enough but now the pix. seriously, i could care less that sith likes some action on the down low (once, twice is fun, a few dozens times is called a pattern and a desperate cry to his 'wife') but these pix make slice look worse.

'Tiffany Network' - lordy. The carrion worms promoting and selling the air time and producing the show and the announcing - all pukes. The comments made by the shills before, during and now after - incredible. How can you satirize something that is the very essence of a burlesque of itself?
