After so many media types and fans trashed Mauricio "Shogun" Rua getting the shot at Lyoto Machida, how many will admit they were wrong? Now that we saw a five round fight with a close decision, is there any other fight UFC can book for Machida aside from Rua?

Cain Velasquez did it again. He totally dominated a big heavyweight with his wrestling. What's next for Cain? Should he have to deliver another win before he gets a shot at the title?

Does Anthony Johnson deserve any credit for his quick knockout of Yoshiyuki Yoshida? Afterall, he probably entered the cage weighing 190-192 after missing weight at 176.

Is Pat Barry for real as a dangerous stand-up fighter at heavyweight? He was devastating tonight against another good stand-up fighter in Antoni Hardonk.

What does the UFC do with Yushin Okami? Some misled writers had Okami as high as No. 2 in the world at middleweight, now what? Should Sonnen sniff a top five fighter at middleweight even with his bad loss against Demian Maia earlier this year?

Machida/Shogun was one of the biggest robberies I've seen in MMA...
What did Machida do to win any round?

UFC lost alot of credibility with that decision for Machida. No one who watches MMA could watch that fight and score it for Machida. That was one of the biggest robberies in sports history

Wow what a joke can't believe I payed for that. Shogun won that fight hands down!!! Sure he didn't put Machida away but no doubt won that fight. Good god even the crowd saw all of that one cheared Shogun on in the end. What a joke are those judges blind!

Steve, Kevin, Dave (Meltzer, Doyle) .... Shogun was robbed. He landed the crisper strikes and was more accurate and aggressive throughout the fight. He won, in my opinion, three solid rounds and maybe even a fourth.
What's your take?

I will never watch a pay per view machida is the headliner on as champion due to the robbery that took place today. i live in CA and i say never come back here after that decision. Man if you could have seen all the people at the bar i was at, it was crazy how shocked everyone was. If Machida was a man hed give up that title.

Rua just can't seem to get a break.
I gave Machida one round, and even thats stretching it. Absolute robbery.
Well, Machida is champ in name only. Shogun has repositioned himself as the best light heavy in the world.

Wow, If I wanted to see a bad decision I could just watch boxing. Watch Out MMA, you dont wann go down that road.
As for Anthony Johnson, make weight next time, not making weight is actually cheating.

not the worst recent UFC decision, but i'd say it's a tie for worst with the bisping/hamill fight. the forrest/rampage decision is a close 2nd.

Worst fight I've ever seen. They should have a rule that if nobody is KOed, TKOed or tapped the fight is a draw. Annoying .... I want my $50 back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It felt like watching scared amateur boxers fight. Will never pay PPV for an MMA fight again.

Hey Raidernation, If Anthony Johnson was a man he'd give all of his winnings to Yoshida for coming in way over weight! That is a tainted win and shouldn't even go on his record.

This such bull [profane]. I just got done sawing this fight. 1. Shogun walked out of this fight with sore ribs. 2. Machida walked out with sore ribs, busted face, and legs that won't carry him properly tomorrow. These are the facts. And some how Machida wins the fight and there should be a rematch? Machida even didn't man up at the end he was just like "Judges say i won so yeah". Lost alot of respect for the UFC tonight. And i mean alot! What a chicken [profane] outfit.

Oh, the UFC has to MAKE Anthony Johnson meet the weight limit or take him off the card. No fare for the foes. Yoshida shouldn't have taken the bout with AJ six pounds over the limit.

UFC became boxing tonight. I don't buy PPV boxing because of what happened tonight. I guess I'm just nieve. Never thought I would see that BS in the UFC. Obviously there were some "for sure" bets placed on Machida. That's the only explanation I can come up with because I have never seen a "boxing decision" in the UFC. At this time I don't know if I will shell out again for a UFC ppv. Tonight they jumped the shark. Sad.

that was the first fight i rented and the last just like wrestling and boxing rip off the contender so you can have a rematch and make maga dollars off it Shogun won that fight hands down bring on Brock Lesner and have him bring on some more of his wrestling buddies to the UFC
