You've been labeled an alcoholic and lunatic, you'd think keeping a low-profile would be the way to go. This is why MMA is the best sport to cover. The guys have no filter. Jesse Taylor, who is due to make his comeback tomorrow during Ultimate Fight Night 14, was asked about Quinton Jackson's arrest earlier this week.

"What goes around, comes around, I guess," said Taylor when Jackson's name was brought up. "I didn't even know until I watched the show, but he said 'He doesn't deserve to to represent the company,' and look what happened to him."

Taylor is referencing the moment during the show when he was tossed off the The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale after an out of control night of party. When Jackson saw Taylor's drunken rampage video, he did say that UFC didn't want someone like that representing the company.

Taylor sounded a little insensitive when he spoke with the media during Thursday's UFN 14 workout day especially considering Jackson was hospitalized yesterday for mental evaluation. It's not clear that Taylor was actually aware of the latest news. AP didn't pick up the story until around 3p PT and the media session took place around 1:30p PT.

Even though Jackson's situation is still playing out and nobody knows what punishment, if any, the former light heavyweight champion may face, Taylor took it upon himself to rip the UFC's discipline policies.

"Oh yeah, it's a big double standard. I'm sure if I was the ex-middleweight champion, I could get away with stuff. I'm sure if I would have done (what Jackson did), I'd be banned."

Is Taylor in a position to judge anyone? Do we even know that he's been a model citizen away from UFC the last four months? And who knows how he'll handle potential stardom in the future?

This guy's a piece of trash... It's people like this that don't deserve the privilege to fight in this sport. I see the ufc becoming a second rate organization like the wec very soon!

Exactly the kind of response you would expect from this guy. He had a golden chance to say something a little 'bigger' than what everyone already thinks of him, and he nosedives by taking a cheap shot. Does this guy have a manager?? I hope Mr. Ed gets worked in his MMA career and is out of the spotlight within a year.......

UFC just did you a favor by brining you back and this is how you repay them?? Obviously he might have corrected his drinking problem but he still needs to work on his social skills.

The one big caveat in his statement is, "IF I WERE THE EX- MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION". What a freak. He was already unpopular and I guess the majority of viewers will tune into his fights hoping to see him get KTFO ..

Everybody, including this blog, jumped at the chance to call for Rampage's head when everything initially went down without waiting for the full story. This jack@ss, Jesse Taylor, is just another in a long line of people who need to STFU and do a little thinking before opening up their mouths. I was especially disappointed at this blog, which coming from an internet giant and being on the Sports MMA "news" section, you would assume would do a little research. Instead, we have supposed reliable "news" sources quoting "TMZ" for crying out loud. Go cover a Paris Hilton story, you bunch of hacks.

I agree with everything JT said. Good points all around. Everyone hear is attacking Taylor, but not really addressing any of the points he made.

Taylor is a strong aggressive figther with raw talent, however he is an inmature, ignorant clots. He is so stupid that he cannot recognize the difference between a possible emotional breakdown, and a drunken outburst. What a MORON.

Jesse Taylor is the typical meathead. He has muscles and zero brains.
I do not disagree with what he said though. He is right. There are double standards. It just doesn't apply to the UFC. It applies to the world in general. Sports figures. Movie and television stars. Spoiled rotten socialites. It's a joke what they get away with.
One question though, why was someone interviewing Jesse Taylor about anything in the UFC? I think the writer did it on prupose just to get that kind of response.
Once again, tabloid journalism is the front runner.

((("""THINK ABOUT IT"""))), Rampits did far more damage as far as public opinion of M.M.A. fighters, than a "NOBODY"...i repeat, a "NOBODY" ever could. Taylors antics on the show "ON THE BIG NEWS SHOWS", Versus, Rampricks "Irreprehensible" actions on "THE WORLD WIDE NEWS"!!!! Rampage "Always has AND always will be....OVERRATED!!!! ANDERSON SILVA "WOULD F*CKIN CRUSH" Rambone!!!!!

It is funny how all these Rampage "cling-on's" think that his actions were far "inferior" to those actions of a "Complete Nobody", who by the way, never even came close to killing someone (as evree1partee) put it. Rampage "TRULY" does not deserve a second chance. His actions put a lot of people in jeopardy of possibly losing their lives. J T broke a window, talked smack, BUT NEVER put anyone's life in jeopardy. I completely agree with you evree1partee, even if I don't like you. I'll still see you at the training center tomorrow!!!!

This would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic. First, Komissar White sets up these kids by providing all the free top shelf booze they want in the TUF house but try to get some free range chicken breast. Anything that appeals to the lowest common denominator mouth breathing mall rats...that whats White wants.
Then this phony 'suspension' for Taylor......call us in 2 weeks and all will be forgiven. All along White really felt that both the behavior, the suspension and 'reincarnation' would make for what he thinks is great television.
    Nonsense.
I am glad to see that White finally has some competition.
Affliction's success has to be good for both the fighters as well as the fans.
Now if they would just lose the ring and use a cage.

Taylor just can't go around talkin trash about one of the UFC's franchise boys when he only fought officially once for the UFC and lost. Plus the fact that this is his 2nd chance. He just needs to hold his tongue on this one.
I hope Rampage's evaluation goes well and he recovers from whatever he's suffering from mentally.
Oh and evree 1partee is a douche and needs to be psychologically evaluated himself to handle his tourette syndrome

Dana White will be able to spin this as is his usual hypocritical wont. The one big difference between Jackson and Taylor is that in the UFC Jackson is a somebody and puts cash in the owners pockets, whereas taylor is a nobody who costs more money than he earns for the owners.
I would rather have been in the vicinity of Taylor when he was drunk and stupid, than close by when Jackson was evading cops, sideswiping cars and wrecklessly endangering pedestrians. Jackson's behaviour was many times worse, more dangerous and worse press for the UFC than that of a drunk punk.

Rampage has been in the fight game probably longer than taylors been alive. He's a former champion and world class fighter, he's helped mold modern mma into what it is today, and has always represented the sport with class and dignity. so yeah, he's allowed a pass when he has a mental breakdown. If taylors outburst was due to his mental state, im sure his situation would have been handled differently, but he was just a drunken fool with too much ego. Taylor was and or is just a punk who got a little too long in the tooth. His antics were childish, immature and shameful, he was behaving like a freshman fratboy. I don't think the double standard applies here because Taylor acted out for different, more selfish, reasons and hasn't paid the same dues as rampage.
