Take that Cyborg! Carano choke out somehow looks pleasant

Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos got plenty of attention for her choke-out of MMA fan Aaron Tru. Tru admitted on ESPN on Friday that it was a set-up. Gina Carano did something similar on "Sports Science" yet somehow the aftermath looked very attractive. Sleeping in Carano's lap ... sign me up.

This was actually a very cool piece where they measure the force of Carano's knees, punches, kicks and elbows. Carano is blasting away at a life-like dummy and breaks one of the ribs (1:55 mark). She can actually get off eight blows in three seconds producing 4,800 pounds of force! The show gives the translation:

"In eight seconds, Gina could - breaks your ribs, give you a concusion, shatter your nose, rupture your spleen, cause internal bleeding and put you down for the count."

Cyborg. Schmyborg.

    I'm sure that I'm not the only one here that thinks this, but Cofield, you always seem to come off as extremely creeper-ish when talking to or about Gina.

    And I'm pretty sure the video said Gina could do all of that damage in 3 seconds, not 8. Pay attention and stop playing with yourself when you write something about her

    Well if Cyborg stays still like the dummy then yeah Carano will break her ribs. As we have seen Cyborg is non stop and gives everything she has. Carano wins if she can survive the 1st round and land some heavy shots of her own.

    You could have said "800 pounds of force," and without any frame of reference, it would look just as "impressive."

    #9 sounds like he likes rear naked chokes w/o shorts on.... and #12 sounds like hes a Maxim model recruit. How can you judge chubby in MMA? This isnt a swimsuit show this is a brawl. Do people say Chuck looks a little chubby for his cover shot..LOL

    That rib was broken when he was explaining the gel body to her, take a peek. She may have a couple extra pounds on her in this shoot, but she might not have been training for a fight. She still looks cute as hell. I don't like her hooks though all arm and no hip rotation, she could add some lbs of force to those with some rotation...but who cares she hot and she tough....good combo

    jesus, you guys that are talking crap about cofield gettin a boner are crazy. the chick's hot for three reasons: 1) she's in great shape and incredibly athletic, 2) that little giggle after she makes the guy fall asleep and 3) her face is pretty cute. lay off of cofield!

    Cyborgs old man looked so so by the 3rd round in his fight so if it's any indicator Carano will be fine with the Five 5 min rounds now.
    What ever floats your boat people don't forget what happened to Kung Fu Carradine when choking was his thing.

    you know I think rather than just the heavy bad and the bob dummy thing at the gym we need to get a ballistics gell dummy. I'd love to kick the crap out of one of those. Looks fun. Gina may be cute but she proves over and over that she is a really fighter too, out for the win and not just the sponsorship of looks.

    What Gina needs to do is find cyborg's weaknees for the Aug. 15 fight. My best bet is wrestling and with Randy Couture at her coner it will be no problem but to use it when to soften cyborg with along side that ground and pound.

    By the way, Cofield, its "Cyborg, Schmyborg." ... A comma in between the words, not a period. The latter makes it sound like you're using two one-word sentences. Maybe you do speak like that in real life, I suppose.

    Fighters train with some extra weight and cut it (ideally) gradually as fight day comes. Extra cardio needed to do this gives you some more gas during the fight too. So if a fighter comes even 5-10 lbs heavy to a fight and the promotion still allows him to fight, he'll be sluggish during the fight, not necessarily because of the extra weight but because he probably wasn't doing his extra cardio (hence the extra weight) during training.
