He's been a human punching bag for the last few days but give Jared Shaw credit, the guy stands right there and fires back. The EliteXC VP appeared on ESPNRadio1100 and things got testy. He is standing by his philosophy and the company's former meal ticket Kimbo Slice.
The only guy Shaw (pictured on the left with Slice) isn't standing by is Ken Shamrock. He re-iterated that he may not want to work with Shamrock again and that he has his doubts about how the now infamous cut came about. Shaw didn't take too well to answering a question about Dana White who called him retarded and questioned his competancy last week.
CLICK BELOW TO LISTEN TO THE ENTIRE INTERVIEW (ESPNRadio1100):
On the subject of the Seth Petruzelli claim that he was told 'no takedowns' before the Kimbo fight, Shaw said that he'd never heard anyone from EliteXC say that. He also took on Las Vegas radio host Dave Cokin when 'The Hat' repeatedly said "Kimbo sucks, stop pushing him as a real fighter."

They make it exciting with some short but furious slug fests.
Maybe they can just be fight for the jawbreaker World title and who cares what happens.

And believe me... no way no how should this idiot be rooting for ANY ONE FIGHTER TO WIN EVER.

If XC is going to move forward. , they should pound the pavement, find up and coming 'real' talent, sign them and bring them along. The fighting public may be stupid in general, but good fighters make good fights. The UFC doesn't have them all under contract.. Go young, or old, but go with some talent. Then make them household names rather than the other way around. Having said that, I enjoyed Caranos' fight and the first fight on the card, the two fighters whose names' escape me. The best thing they got going at this point is it is FREE...... I dont mind buying PPV cards, but really the free option is their best trait.

I was thinking the same thing about Shaw. He's almost busting a nut to look hard aint he?

BJ Penn is pretty much the consensus No. One light-weight (155 lbs.) fighter in the world. He's physically strong, quick, and explosive at the weight. He's ridiculously flexible. His striking is precise and effective, his game-planning is top notch, his grappling is so phenomenal that he's the one that Joe Rogan's oft-repeated (by Joe himself) expression, "He has sick ju-jitsu," was made for; and now he's mentally focused and well-conditioned.
In all of MMA who poses the biggest threat to BJ at 155 lbs.? Why do you think so?

he interviews petruzeli and we find out that slice's crew of thugs were threathening p.s wife, his trainers and even seth during the fight. i'm going to keep it clean but my feelings about lowlife scumbags threathening women are pretty clear; cowards.

what about if next time some of the criminal element tell a fighter the exact address of their kids school? could that influence a fight? lets just sweep this under the rug and were gonna have criminal elements get a lot closer because the media doesnt care.

thanx for changing the focus of this blog HAHA
but i dont see anyone in 155 division that can handle BJ, only people i do see is other division champs GSP and Faber, the have the cardio, skill, and talent to contend with a focused BJ Penn
i would like to see other fighter like Florian, Frankie Edgar, Guida, etc to get a chance against him though because they are real talented, i just dont see them making much of a threat against BJ
they dotn call him Prodigy for nothin

i live right by DC and have many friends in some very poor hoods
and one thing i know bout kickin it on the streets out here
is never expect a fair fight
i have never jumped anyone and hav eno respect for those that do
but that is what goes on in the streets nowadays
people are scared of an asswhippin so instead they think its tuff 2 jus jump someone
I think that if EXC is gonna be a professional co. (HAHA!) they should ban these losers that made the threats
there is no place for that in mmaand maybe kimbo cant controll his boys
but EXC should neva allow them in their events again if they cant respect him gettin KO'd
he stepped in the cage it is wat it is
get over it
imagine if it was a street fight
Seth would prolly still be in the E.R. if not gone for good

Sports are bought out all the time. Why not UFC?????
How can anyone believe anything that anyone says.
People say things and do things to get a rise out of people.

LOL thats funny. You can tell by the way he talked and how kimbo talked. PUBLICITY IS WHAT THEY LIKE HHHHEEELLLLOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

this is NOT the UFC we are talking about here. Kimbo "fights" in the EliteXC. Like a minor league UFC, but with training wheels.
Please enlighten all of us as to what sports are "bought out all the time" as you say. hum?
