Normally a fighter pulling out of fight with a late injury on the day of the weigh-in is shocking. In the case of Karo Parisyan, it didn't surprise me one bit. We sat down with the 25-year old longtime UFC vet and he spoke like a different person. Parisyan is always a great interview, this conversation was interesting but Karo wasn't his typical loose, confident fighter.

I was really freaked out by the convo and immediately said to folks around the radio set, "I don't think he should be fighting."

What happened? Did Karo have another attack? It would be ashame to see this become a long term problem for Parisyan. He's a young guy and has some good wins under his belt over Nick Diaz, Matt Serra, Drew Fickett, Josh Burkman and Ryo Chonan.

That was not the Karo I've seen in the past. Good interview.

The only man Dana is attached to is Liddell.
As for Karo...terrible. I keep forgetting he is only 25.

I think the guy has lost a lot of confidence. He comes in to fights soft and always appears to train just hard enough to make weight. Reminds me a little of BJ before he took things serious and got in Champion shape. Karo has a ton of raw skill, but the man needs to step up the training a notch IMO. Otherwise he'll always be just an above average fighter and not a champ. Sorry to see him bail though..would have been a good fight cause he usually always brings it.

it will take time to recover from this kind of problem for karo. title shot is probably out of picture for couple of years now, ufc would not risk fighter pulling out of main event a day before the fight. the recovery process is very hard from something like this, i would compare it to trying to convince yourself that earth is not round.

Karo will overcome this affliction. Sometimes it is hard to get your head on straight when it is your own mind fighting you.

nope unwrecked...unfortunately he will kick Karo to the curb. Sad but true. Some people don't realize that it is a mental illness and Dana does not impress me as being a "understanding person" when it comes to these issues. He has a - suck it up - mentality
