Ortiz looking more and more like Bonds

Tito Ortiz is living a nightmare. While he's weighing his options on a new deal, he's sidelined after back surgery until the middle of 2009. Will it be Affliction or UFC? His lousy relationship with UFC president Dana White is well-documented. He's also got off to a bad start with Affliction negotiations. And now Affliction's long-term prognosis is shaky at best.

For a guy who's looking to make top shelf money as a fighter, his negotiating stance stinks. A while back we compared Ortiz's plight to that of Barry Bonds. Bonds' agent actually said in the middle of last season that he would take the MLB minimum. Would Ortiz come back if he wasn't making in excess of $200k per fight?

Yahoo! Sports caught up with "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" around UFC 91 in Las Vegas to talk about his health and future.

Chano even if Affliction does finally get a fight out of him, Tito will run his mouth and screw it up in the end.

He needs to ease up on the GH and Test and use some more anti estrogens. He is getting that puffy roid look and obviously doesn't know how to beat back the unfortunate side effects...

he should fight just because Chuck Liddell isn't that good anymore. LOL. That is one of the reasons why he was scared to do anything. Yeah, he WAS great, but he is utterly annoying.

The comparison to bonds should only be that they both believe they are worth more money than anyone else competing in their sport. Is Tito a name, yes, Could he still put people in the seats, maybe (only to see him lose), Is he worth main event money, not anymore. He is trying to live the past and base everthing on how popular some of his fights from more than 2-3 years ago, were. In his last few, he was boring and not nearly the fighter he used to be. Even after his back is healed, he won't be able to hang with the top 10 Light Heavies. He would make interesting match-ups for up and coming prospects but he will never again be a Main Event Headliner. Unless he backs off from his rediculous salary demands, he might be fighting with Kimbo in Japan. Face it Tito, you aged to fast and you are not the fighter you once were.

Tito's a chump. Sit down, loser, go hang with your ex-porn star wife and be done already! Seriously, no where near his old self in the ring, no one really interested in listening to his whiney tales, no point in fighting...anywhere. go home tito, make an exercise video for housewives and fade away.

Tito is already halfway down the same road that Ken Shamrock went down. Pretty soon he'll be feuding with a younger much more talented fighter and getting the snot beat out of him.

Why compare Tito to a roid user now that he's left the UFC? Cofield will probably compare Brock to Bonds once his contract is up!

Maybe he can get Affliction to pick him up and sign Shamrock so he can at least win a fight again.

Yes folks Tito is done but how can you expect him to retire gracefully? It's gonna have to be beat in to him.

He should fight Hong-Man Choi in Japan, he's probably a heavyweight at this point and it'd be funny to watch him get caught by a fist the size of a bowling ball.
