Kimbo's conqueror is a real animal

Seth Petruzelli lost it in the cage when he scored his 14 second knockout of Kimbo Slice. It's clearly not the first time the Floridian has gone bonkers. His MySpace page is loaded with hilarious photos.

They call him 'The Silverback' and it may be because he parties like the proverbial 800-lb. gorilla. He's pictured above with his wife on the left (placed to confirm his heterosexuality). He's also seen with a naked Brad Imes, a fellow cast member on The Ultimate Fighter 2. And he's getting cozy with one of his 'chums' while wearing banana hammocks at a Las Vegas pool.

The fight world is crazy. Petruzelli bowed out of TUF2 in the heavyweight semifinals and lost his only two UFC fights but to the casual sports fan he may now be the most famous guy to come off the show. He scored a huge victory over a well-known fighting character in front of the one of the biggest audiences to ever watch MMA. Who beats him?

    petruzelli was a funny character in tuf2 and it blew my mind when i saw him in the ring with slice i mean he was like a figment of my imagination alread.... but gotta say he made alot of mma fans and kimbo nay-sayers happy this wknd!!!!!!

    The first fight on the card was good but I couldnt tell you their names. Carano's fight was entertaining. The main HW fight was two hacks that dont deserve prime time. Obviously Slices' chin is made of eggshells.

    You're one step closer to a gig on 60 Minutes with this magnificent piece of investigative journalism, Cofield. What happened? Did Petruzelli not accept your " friends invite " to your Facebook page so you had to go to myspace instead? Maybe the blogger whose blogs you copy and paste might be able to give you a little more info on Petruzelli
    Two questions for you
    1)Just how does an 800lb gorilla party?
    2) What shows are on at the Venetian this week?

    I heard this dude seth P has sum impressive victorys in his career like one over Bob sapp
    is that true?
    i could go 2 wikipedia and figure out, but dont feel like it !
    all i kno is that a karate disciplined fighter is hard to attack i.e. GSP and Machida
    no excuse for gettin dropped off a jab, but this dude may not be the bum the painted him out 2 be.
    Im kinda glad kimbo lost so all the haters/fanatics will realize he is jus a mma newbie and know he is human too.

    Stop dissin' the man. Kimbo got knock'd out. So what. Seth is not the no-name fighter that everyone wants you to believe he is. He did beat Bob Sapp who is huge in size compared to Kimbo. He did beat Dan Severn who is a legend in the sport and a hell of a fighter. Petruzelli is not the bum everybody thinks he is. He's actually a damn good fighter. And i bet if half of you took a square shot in the chin you'd be on your knees open to a couple more as well. And he did get hit in the back of the head which was of no consequence anyway. Question is --- Will elitexc live long enough to see if Kimbo comes back from it?

    Cofield and Wetzel should be writing in tabloids. They epitomize sensationalism in journalism, and know nothing about martial arts. What credentials do these pencil-pushing, desk-jockeys have to justify their critiques of professional martial artists? Cofield and Wetzel are the real farces here, and Petruzelli v. Cofield and Slice v. Wetzel are the fights I'd like to see.

    Way to go with this groundbreaking stuff Cofield. You have graduated from cut and pasting and plagiarism, to stalking myspace pages for references. Are you sure that you're not a 12 year old girl.
    Have you ever met an MMA fighter, or attended an event? I have never seen a story of yours that has contained a direct quote to you from anyone involved in the MMA business, and all of your ( and I use the term ' your' very loosely ) writings are based on, and directly quoting other websites, bloggers and journalists.
    You are an absolute disgrace, and a complete waste of space.
