Cagewriter - UFC

It's officially official. The UFC just introduced the cast of The Ultimate Fighter 10 at the UFC Fan Expo. Kimbo Slice is part of the cast. Cagewriter has the first press comments from Kimbo.

It seems odd for a 35-year-old guy with big money on the table in Japan to risk it all:

"It was up to the brains. I got the call and said hey, it's time to do this."

Kimbo says he never actually spoke with Dana White or Joe Silva in striking the deal to appear on the show.

"I just hope to learn something. It's another sacrifice."

Kimbo also talked about his loss to Seth Petruzelli and the aftermath.

Go Bucks, man, I hope so! I doubt they let him have a fight for a while though. What's up with yahoo calling it UFC on the top of the page then mma then UFC. Make up your mind.

Every time you go into a cagewriter blog the tab changes to UFC when you're in the main yahoo sports mma page the tad says MMA.
He looks a lot more cut then he did before...Still shaving his chest hair all f*cked up though.

I know for a fact that Kimbo wasn't the first one out of the house. But that is neither here or there. Kimbo is doing it the right way now. He had his joke time with EliteXC and the way he disrespected Bas Rutten but from all accounts the expierence in EliteXC really humbled him and from the accounts I have received from his time in TUF he isn't/wasn't a joke.

If Kimbo wins it all, his next fight should be for the title. Brock didn't have to wait, why should Kimbo. If he does lose, he would need one win to get back in line for the title, just like Brock.

it wouldn't surprise me... after all... it was just a big sham anyways that he was an mma fighter to begin with.

    post 15 ?
are YOU serious? how would that be any different than a 2-1 pro wrestler getting a shot at the heavyweight title? Kimbo vs. Brock would be the biggest MMA ppv of all time (which is pretty sickening imo)

Is there a spoiler source for the TUF results or something?! My understanding is that everyone connected with the show is bound to confidentiality. I can't imagine any of the fighters would risk their necks by breaking that agreement. Maybe a stagehand.
That said...if there was a leak, don't you think it would be all over the place?

"everyone likes a good bar brawl" how ever i do agree that some of the fans like brawl's,but the ones that see mma for what it really is,and that's a sport filled with skilled athletes. A (true) martial arts fan should appreciate guys like Machida,Mir,Fedor,Liddell,GSP,Anderson,Couture, etc... guys that are very skilled in the past or present of mma. It's not like in boxing that they haven't ever did fights they were more geared toward money than the sport it's self. I think the big money fights in mma are good in my opinion, because they don't do nothing but give the sport more exposure. Which is all good in my book

Nut, I think it's funny how you are so fast to judge Brock Lesnar on steroids, and not even acknowledge what a serious person, and athlete this guy is. You are so big on boxing, and boxing is so better, you seem to forget that both Mosley, and Holyfield were both excused of taking steroids. Your such a hypocrite man. So what if Lesnar don't like to do interviews, and get's a little frustrated with the media. He is ready to fight, and not run around like Mir,and make himself sound like he's full of $hit. If anything people should respect that about him,not many guys have that approach when it comes to fighting. They would rather run there mouth's off,and try to over estimate there selves to look good in front of the camera. At the end of the day all that talk don't mean $hit when you step in the Octagon.

Knuckle I'm just pointing out you don't have to EARN your title shot as long as you are a big name. Brock loses to the ex-champ, gets 1 win and gets a title shot. It wouldn't happen in any other sport. Mangler out
