No matter if Jake Rosholt wins over Dan Miller or not at Ultimate Fight Night 17, he can be confident in one fact. He has the coolest dog in the history of the world. Watch through the end of this Cribs-esque video to see why you should be jealous of Rosholt.

Rosholt also proudly shows off his collection of guns and stuffed animals, which includes a bobcat and some deer heads. A bear that he shot in Idaho is at the taxidermist, but will be proudly displayed in the Rosholt household very soon.

Something Rosholt does not show off are his championship rings from Oklahoma State wrestling. Rosholt was part of the incredibly dominant Cowboy teams that won four national championships in a row, from 2003-06. He was a four-time All-American and a three-time national champion in that time. Rosholt has carried those winning ways into MMA, where he is undefeated through five fights. After a win in the WEC, Rosholt will debut in the Octagon this weekend. It's a shame that he won't be able to bring his dog with them.

Join CageWriter for a pair of chats at the end of the week. On Friday, there’s an open chat at 1 p.m. ET with Steve Cofield and Maggie Hendricks. On Saturday, Maggie Hendricks will host an Ultimate Fight Night 17 chat at 9 p.m. ET

    he is a tough S.O.B.
but he was gettin his face pounded in his WEC debut
with no defense what so ever
he would be the definition of what nutcracker says "blocks punched with his face" HAHA
if he is gonna make it in UFC he is gonna have to step up his defense
that being said he is tough as hell, took a beating and kept pushin
and his wrestling resume will help him alot in the octagon

    aw man-
these "poor", up and coming young fighters... they're sooooo underpaid that a guy who's only had a couple of pro fights, and is still basically a nobody in the sport, can afford a 60 in. flatscreen and a wrap around suede-leather couch in the living room, a 42 in. LCD in the f**king bedroom!, and an entire extra room just to throw junk in cuz u have so much money that u can pay for a whole extra room in ur house, to put all the extra crap u don't even need, but just don't feel like cleaning ur house. Oh- these poor up and coming young fighters... looks like he's reeeeaaaalllly struggling; wahhhhh! That is a pretty cool trick with the dog getting him a beer outta the fridge, though...

Watch out Darkness, you are going to get it now! True, he looks like he is probably living on foodstamps. Very, very, depressing seeing these downtrodden, taken advantage of, no minded, forced to sign contract, fighters. Excuse me while I go get a tissue......

Darkness and Great White: Rosholt is on a $100K/year salary as part of Team Takedown. I believe his rent and car are also paid for as part of his salary package. This salary is independent of what he makes fighting for WEC/UFC. In return for getting a salary, he splits his fight purses with the guy who organized Team Takedown (some guy from Texas, IIRC). In other words, a guy pays Rosholt $100K/year, and in return he gets a percentage of Rosholt's fight purses. Johny Hendricks and Shane Roller also have similar deals with this same guy, and they are both part of Team Takedown as well.

WOW Heckaguy, that is even more ammo for why people should stop beating their version of Greenpeace "save the fighters" drum. IF Rosholt has a $100K salary from ANYBODY and fights under contract (nobody really knows what that contract pays) with the UFC/WEC AND gets paid win/show/bonus money on a per fight basis then HOT DAMN what do established fighters make???

they get paid 1/10th of what boxers get paid. rosholt got a sweet but extremely rare deal with his contract and team takedown. he is the exception, a far cry from the norm.

Jonathan - Really? 1/10th of what boxers get. Oh, I get it. It is 1/10 of the .00000000000001% of boxers. Please explain why "boxers", many of whom are undefeated at 12 and 13-0, some ex world champs and others with impecible records of 25-2 etc fight on a reality TV show where they MUST win 4 straight fights to win a measly 1 million if "boxers" in general make more money???? Fact is, "boxers" in general do NOT make more money. Boxers take years and years and an incedible amount of luck to make it big time and make 1.5 million per fight like Fedor or a Couture did. Or to a lesser extent, what Rashad Evans at 450K in the last 3 months made in the UFC. Rashad was the assistant wrestling coach at Michigan State 3 years ago. "Boxers" would go apeshiat at the possibility of making 450K in 3 months after only boxing for 3 years. Again, "Boxers" in general NEVER make any money. Only the elite do and that is coming to a quick end. I guess you haven't heard that the Staples Center had to resourt to selling $25 dollar tickets, or that Vegas wont have a major boxing card until May. MMA has cards darn near weekly on free or PPV TV with payouts that YOU and I don't know the extent of. It was only recently that Randy Coutures PPV take was disclosed. ALL MMA fighters make much much more than what is revealed and MOST boxer make peanuts. What Rosholt got is closer to the norm in MMA than your generalization of boxers.

Try hunting an animal that is equally armed with firepower.......shooting animals is to compensate for insecurities. Go climb a mountain, surf mavericks, skydive or something. I am not impressed with his performance.
