There wasn't a whole lot of drama during the weigh-ins for tomorrow's Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale at the Palms Pearl Theatre in Las Vegas. No pushing matches or heat between fighters. Everyone from this season's UFC reality show seemed good-natured. It wasn't the best day for middleweight Wilson Gouveia who whiffed badly in his attempt to make the 185-pound limit. Gouveia tipped the scales at 189. He was not forced to cut anymore weight and the fight was re-contracted with his opponent Jason MacDonald receiving 20% of Gouveia's purse.
The best look of the evening goes to Tom Lawlor. He sported a three-month beard and some horrendous skivvies that he must've pulled from the 1977 Frederick's of Hollywood catalog.
Frank Mir, Dan Henderson, recently cut Sokoudjou and Kimbo Slice conqueror Seth Petruzelli were all in attendance.

I have to agree with u on that one. I know we go back and forth alot, but u have to make weight in any sport divided into weight classes... that's the whole point of weight classes. I understand the promotion, though (ufc or any other) still letting the fight happen, and penalizing the fighter who didn't make weight a % of their purse. Cuz if u cancel the fight, call it a forefit, or whatever, ur not only penalizing the fighter who failed to make weight, but the opponent who just spent several weeks to a few months preparing for the fight, as well as the fans paying to see the fight that was advertized. I'm all for stripping a champion of his title if he refuses to make weight, though...

How would it help moving the day, if there that far off would an extra day or two really matter??? I do agree if your a bigger guy and try cutting 25+lbs You really shouldnt be fighting at that weight..why would you want to anyway???I would think you would prefer to fight at or as close to your everyday weight as possible??
Darkness- I expect nothing less..Bro..Did you get my shout out about the job thing??sorry to hear about your luck that was cold..Hope something happens soon for you..better then what u had b4...Something should be done about this it's for sure not fair to your opponent...
