Josh Barnett and Fedor Emelianenko, slated to meet at the Affliction fight on August 1, seem so amicable at the Strikeforce fight in St. Louis.

As if Barnett has any chance (and I'm not a Fedor lover). Next subject.....The big bad Fedor won't fight any top comp, so let the Fedor lovers keep thinking he is the greatest thing after he beats a very average Barnett.

um Maggie they seem friendly cause they're friends. Just cause they're fighting each other doesn't mean they have to stop being cool with each other.
Barnett didn't even want to take this fight due to their friendship with each other.

He should be able to beat Barnett without much trouble. Barnett lost to Crocop 3 times and Nogueira once. I would say he has a shot at a decision, but his cardio is suspect too.

I would like to see Fedor vs Lesnar or Mir. Then I would like to see him vs Silva and Machida at a catchweight of like 215. I would like to see him in fights he can actually be challenged in. Such as when he fought Crocop and Nogueira. Aside from those 2. He should have easily beat the rest by virtue.
Who else is there after barnett now?. Overeem?, Werdum?, Monson?, Lashley?
    Come on experts!

Doc you are definately smoking some serious crack. There is nobody who can take out Fedor right now. Mir, Lesnar, Couture, Rodgers, Overeem, Monsoon, Noguiera...... NOBODY!

Fedor is beatable! I'm a big F.Mir fan, if he hadn't broke his leg 6yrs.ago I think Frank could beat Fedor any day of the week! And I hate to say it but, B.Lesnar is only getting better!

Doc, Barnett is STILL ranked as the number 2 heavyweight in the world. He is no "pushover". Get your facts straight, Fedor knocked out #3 Arlovski and is now going for #2 Barnett.

Fedor won't fight top competitors? You obviously don't know what you're talking about. He's already fought Tim Silvia, Arlovski, Cro Cop, Noguera... Just because he has the dignity to not work for Dana White, doesn't make him any less than what he is - pound for pound the best fighter in the world. Check the stats friends!

listen i think fedor is the most serious threat in mma but hes gonna get knocked out by someone soon and his career is gonna go down hill i really hope it doesnt happen but it will and it wouldnt be smart for him to drop down to fight anderson he would get pwned because he would lose energy from being that weight anderson wont because he plans on moving up to 205 and hes got fights under his belt at 205 its only another 10 pounds of muscle he needs to gain fedors got some a lot of fat he needs to lose but it would be interesting

Barnett??..Good fighter, interesting to watch although cardio has held him back....as far fedor, wether u like him or u like danna whilte and the UFC, the guy is amazing....remember when the whole world was on Tim Sylvia and Andre Arlovskis nuts...they both got hammered by fedor and now has danna re thinking what he said...and for Cro Cop, by far one of the most entertaining and elite fighters in the world...just had trouble transitioning 2 octagon from ring...And noguiera, c'mon, the guy is great......not many people that are that good on the ground, can punch as well as him...dont know how mir picked him apart like he did...if there was one fight I would say was fixed it was that one..dont know y he didnt counter, I could have knocked him out quicker...Lesner is just power, simple as that...shane carwin "could" destroy him...if u never heard of Carwin, look him up, new to ufc but has 10 first round knockouts at 10-0 and has brocks size and power but its quicker and better puncher...I say Carwin vs. Fedor baby.

I love how the UFC fans like Doc always rank on Fedor yet they never throw out any names who they think would own Fedor. Name one heavyweight in the UFC who has a remote change of beating Fedor?? No one! One more time for the cheap seats NO ONE!!!! So then why should Fedor go to the UFC??? The man is 30-1 and and that one loss was because of a cut which in the UFC or the former Pride would of been a no contest. If anything Dana should send his so called top compeptition over to Affliction to fight the "overrated" Fedor.

I agree that Barnett will not win but people need to give Fedor his credit, he makes good fighters look average compared to him so every win he gets always gets undermined by the abilities of the fighters he faces. If he was average or just good, then he would struggle against "average" or "good" fighters.

The last fight I watched with Carwin, he got hit so hard by Gonzaga that he looked like just like Mark Coleman when he got kicked in the face and KO'd by Pete Williams. I mean, his face looked exactly like he turned into Coleman, go watch!
Gonzaga got careless, rushed in and left himself open, or he beats Carwin.
Carwin take on Fedor? Please.... MIR??? You mean the guy that got KTFO by Brandon Vera in one minute? Bwahahahaha.
Tell Dana to back up to the vault, fill the trunk full of cash: Fedor is in the catbird's seat here. Until he loses, Fedor is champ. He doesn't need the UFC, just the opposite.
After Lesnar KO's Mir (again, if Mazagatti isn't the ref protecting Mir), then only Fedor brings SUPER big bucks to a title fight.
Fedor can be beat, no doubt. Anyone can. It remains to be seen if he retires before he loses his edge and loses a fight before that happens....

fedor is the nuts... remember when randleman picked him up and slammed him on his neck? for any other fighter that would have been the ballgame, but not fedor, he absorbed the slam and within seconds made Randleman TAP... WOW!!! DANA needs 2 pull his head out (and I like Dana)... but come on, the world deserves to see Fedor fight in the UFC. Dana if you r listening, dont make a similar mistake w Fedor that you did w Randy C. and Tito... Put your ego aside and GO GET FEDOR NOW!!!

Carwin did get rocked and bounced right back and did what he was supposed to...he underestimated gonzaga who won with a fluke kick over Cro cop...no one would know him if not for that....I agree Fedor is the best, Dan D said it best when he recovered from the randelman slam...cough cough, Carwin.....Carwin would smash lesner who is very overrated...the guy just has pure strength and noghin more, he takes u down and throws one punch every 10 seconds..does tito need to teach him some ground and pound or nog. teach him som submissions or what....and mir tapped out lesner quick If i recall right after getting rocked...and ICANMAKEUTHINK u said it best, he did have the coleman look just a lil but he didnt fall like coleman..he came back and rocked gonzaga...u must not know much about the guy...Very glad Cro cop is commin back, ufc needs more competitors in heavyweight division....I say line up Nogueira, Lesner, Cro Cop, Carwin, Congo, Mir,Overeem, Sylvia, or even Henderson, Rampage, Griffin, Rashad, Mochita, Liddel, V, Silva or anyone else and lets see who could beat Fedor....maybe one and if he "did" it would be a fluke loss cuz it can happen to anyone, hell, I bet fedor's brother would smash half those guys.

All right, Dana White, UFC is becoming irrelevant too, the best fighters are Fedor and Uriah Faber and they are not UFC because UFC treats their fighters like their wives or escorts- like toilet paper. Fedor is Bruce Lee or Marlon Brando, or Mohamad Ali, Or Michael Jordan of MMA, you don't send him to the cage to entertain 14 year olds twice a month, you kidding me?
I would like to see him, however versus someone like Machida or Vanderlei, Gonzanga, or maybe Cro Cop again, another one of that kind.

I think Fedor is without a doubt a top notch fighter. Maybe the best going right now. All you people are either just waking up from a ten year nap or have never watched mma before. This is not boxing no one is unbeatable. In real world combat the grueling training and fights takes its toll on the body and bam the seemingly invincible warriors get smashed. For all you mamas boys who have never been in a fight would not understand this. Take the baddest man alive then take another man with similar skill sets and let him study this man over and over and he will beat this man in time. In mma everyones time comes and goes in a short span. Fedor will get beat probably badly and probably soon. When this happens you ignorant mooks will jump on the bandwagon of the next king. Longjevity in this sport is about contraversy and relevance not unbeatable atheletes. Bye bye Fedor.

Fedor fought Nogeria 3 times. The first and the third time he one. The second busted himself open, albeit accidentally and got a no decision in a fight he would have lost had it finished. Fedor's deserves 1 loss and 1 no decision the difference is the loss should be a no decision and the no decision should be a loss. Anyways today Mir could beat him, but he is taking on the top heavyweights available to him and he deserves credit for that. He doesn't want to fight in the UFC his right, and he is fighting real competition so we shall see what happens vs Barnett.

Idiots, I'm not a UFC or Dana White fan. Are you fukking crazy. I'm just pointing out the simple fact that Fedor fights bums. I think Barnett would get schooled by any average heavyweight. I've seen all of his fights. I saw him get his azz kicked against all of the named Pride fighters.
Who could beat Fedor? Anderson, Machida, perhaps Mir. It is hard to say, since he fights nobodys. Look at AA. I LOVE AA. But he sucks. His chin is made of glass. Tim the moron was never worth a s [profane], so who cares. I'd beat GSP could beat the piss out of Fedor.
I see him fight nobodys. I bet my man Belfort could kick him into next year. I HATE WHITE and his mob buddies. You clowns have no clue. I post all the time. The regulars know me. In fact, I'd bet 10K on Belfort to beat Fedor. I'd bet 50K that Anderson or Machedia coudl beat Fedor. And I have the money to lose, so I'm not betting the farm.
    So FUKK YOU!!!!
