Nice planning by the folks with the Ultimate Chaos card tomorrow in Biloxi, Mississippi. The event featuring Bobby Lashley versus Bob Sapp has the fight weekend to itself. The curiosity factor alone should bring in some decent number on this pay-per-view event. Affliction boss Tom Atencio is also fighting, which makes one think even the head honchos at UFC will be watching. Dana White appearing on the Cofield and Cokin Show on ESPNRadio1100 in Las Vegas laughed off that notion:
White has said on several occasions that Atencio is irrelevant. He repeated the sentiment two weeks ago in Germany:
"Nobody gives a [expletive] about Tom Atencio. He has to say something to get attention. Not only is he not a fighter, he's not a promoter. He's a loser. I could give a [expletive] about Tom Atencio." White then said Atencio is a phony, giving the back story about the well-circulated choke photo (above) featuring he and Atencio looking jovial. "He's a big kiss [expletive] when you're at the club and then he goes out in front of the media and starts talking [expletive]. He's a waste of time."
That was after calling Atencio a loser:
"At the end of the day, I stepped up and said I would fight Tito and he was a fighter who people cared about," White said. "But why would I fight this goof? He's neither a fighter nor a promoter. He's a [expletive] loser. That's all he is."
Sources close to White say that he's full of it. He'll probably going to carve out some time to watch the Atencio fight against Randy Hedderick. He and UFC matchmaker Joe Silva should also be checking out the Lashley fight. A win over Sapp isn't some great accomplishment but at 320 pounds, he is a test for Lashley. If Lashley wins, it should pique the interest of both UFC and Strikeforce. Do you believe White when he says he won't watch or is he just talking trash?
Check throughout the weekend for more snippets of the White appearance on ESPNRadio1100. He also smashed Floyd Mayweather for re-scheduling his fight against Juan Manuel Marquez on Sept. 19, the same weekend as a UFC PPV event in Dallas.

and why would dana want to fight. he got ran out of the ring while trying to box in the amateurs. why do you think he turned to mma?? the reason most do.. they go to a boxing gym, get lumped up by some skinny kid half their age and look to ply the fight trade in a place where they wont get their nose flattened and knocked down weekly by kids half their age. as for mercer/sylvia.. it does prove one thing. if they are going to stand with a boxer, they will lose.. most mma boys are laughable on their feet, throwing windmills like a crack hoe at her pimp on the the street corner.

Boxing is one aspaect of fighting and your utter lack of anything resembling and intelligent post is a prime example of why not everyone should be allowed to share their opinion.

It is safe to guess most of the haters do not have a clue as to what the early days of the UFC were all about before Zuffa and Dana made it what it is today..
The UFC was down and out, but they stuck with it when it was bleeding money and being hammered by Congress and the media as being a blood sport or cockfighting with humans.
Without the UFC, there would be no Tapout shirts.
No Affliction apparel.
Nothing.
Dana is a promoter. He is a self promoter. He is an organization promoter.
What he says or does always captures headlines in the MMA world. And if he says or does something really special, then it becomes mainstream sports news (ie. his video rant)
Let Dana talk all the chit he wants, he deserves it.
And if he doesn't want to watch some 3rd rate promotion, then that is his choice.

Tim Sylvia is a goof and a buffoon. His former training camp and teammates has even said this about him.
And as long as someone is dumb enough to give this goof a contract, then Sylvia will continue to embarrass himself and the MMA world in general. But it is is America, and the guy has a right to earn a living.
But in the short and long term to MMA, Tim Sylvia mean nothing.
He is a former champ, now turned chump. He is a washed up has been.
But as far as Dana licking his wounds, odds are he is laughing his azz off because of the loss.
All you boxing hard ons look at this fight as something special in your world because Ray Mercer beat Tim Sylvia.
Big Deal!
Let Mercer step into the ring against a legitimate heavy weight fighter. Hell let him step in with Anderson Sylvia. You boxing purists will be chirping a different tune when Mercer get ktfo in minutes.

First Dana White will watch some of it,. He has too lose if he doesn't, because it is the competition and Tom will spank Dana.
Dana is a classless individual. Sure he has feelings for some pyscho boys, and gives them fighting contracts for publicity. But, he didn't do any miracle for the UFC. Except take it backwards.
Back in the day we saw some of the greatest matches ever. Now??? I don't believe all the fights are completely honest.
Now there are so called weight class, but on fight day, there is not a weight limit that is upheld.
There are rules that have been clearly broken, and no consquences were handed out,
Dana loves that vaseline.
At least in boxing those fighters geniuely dislike one another, and the fight hype is not fake.
We won't see Ricky Hatton inviting Floyd Mayweather to London to help him train against the Pac Man.
And Dante Stafllworth paid millions to the mans family even though he was in the wrong and was running across a highway. Quiinton Jackson? Moved to the U.K lucky astard, A police chase through LA, numerous hit and runs, a woman who was pregnant had a micarriage the next day, and QJ laughes "I was dilarious" from not eating and sleeping. Where I come from we just he was wacked, he was lite by the meth.. dilarious WTF?
Dana White needs to wake up, and get the UFC open and allow the fighters to fight

first he said fedor is irrelevant. then said he would like to try and sign him, only to get snubbed by fedor. then he said slice was irrelevant (and worse) and is now using him on tuf to juice its' ratings.. anything to make a buck, especially for a fledgling show like tuf.. it is for the most part tough man competitions under the guise of "mma".. anyone that watches people like guida hashing out haymakers, and cranks like bonnar getting thier heads bounced off the octagon floor see it for what it is.. entertaining, sure.. anyone loves to see a good fight. but a good fight does not a good fighter make.. that is the difference that fanboys cant seem to suss out..
