Dana White UFC 105 blog: 'The Iceberg' has his appetite back

The blogs are back and No. 1 for UFC 105 is pretty solid. Videographer Eliot shoots Dana White driving post-accident. White wrecked his Ferrari last Wednesday morning, so in the afternoon he's driving his Range Rover. Learning a lesson from his awful driving earlier in the day, White horses around by swerving at UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta (4:19 mark - NSFW) on crowded Sahara Avenue on the westside of Las Vegas.

Three heavyweights are also featured during the blog. Middleweight Patrick Cote is seen rocking a robust 225 pounds (3:55 mark). Then Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell makes an appearance during Tony Hawk's Standup for SkateParks on Saturday at the Wynn Las Vegas. White, who dubbed Liddell "The Iceberg" before his Dancing With The Stars appearance, is worried about what he's eating. Liddell fires back accurately pointing out that White isn't exactly sporting a washboard stomach.

    I wanna see somebody ask Dana about the postfight Strikeforce press conference where Coker calls out Brock Lesnar and said he was ready to put a fight on between Brock and Fedor ANYTIME Dana's ready. BTW that is on the Strikeforce Postfight: Rogers' trainer wants a rematch or Overeem Blog on the yahoo Blog section. Coker says that at 4:20 into the Werdum Video after a reporter ASKS him about it(btw the Werdum video is the second one on that blog). Funny that Cofield never mentions that ONCE and doesn't give that interview it's own blog for us to comment on......Dana must be dikn him deep!

    I hope Hendo does join strikeforce so we can see him battle Gegard Mousasi. I was surprised that Soko was able to use his judo effectively against Soko--but of course it did not matter in the end. All in all, it was a better contest than I imagined (I thought Mousasi would win via sub in the first round). But loved the show. Go Strikeforce!

    i was surprised as well, but as i watched the fight a second time i realized that those "judo throws" were very little judo technique and more of just muscling the smaller guy around. granted, it takes judo knowledge to know the right timing...but the technique was lacking, wasn't tight at all as it should be. had it been another muscly athletic guy with good hips i doubt he would have been so "successful." taking nothing away from soko though...i was very happy to finally see the guy use one of his strengths.

    WOW. it's a good thing ufc 105 is on spike because it's one of the worst cards the ufc has put together in recent history. my disclaimer is that i normally don't comment on the quality of the card before it actually goes down, and there's a good chance i'll be proven wrong. often enough, the free fights end up being more exciting than the ppv's...but oh my god, on paper......terrible.

    JJ, what the hell are you saying? Steven w, what's wrong with the free card? I kind of like watching Hardy scrap, he puts on a great show and Swick might bang, so that could be good. Bisping and Kang? Not too bad. Couture and Vera? I love a good Vera fight, but this one does have potential for a couture gnp for 15 minutes. Just saying, the fighters aren't awful and it's free so I don't have to wait 10 minutes after the PPV airs to download it...for free, of course. Also, does anyone wish the UFC machine caught a little more sh*%& when they spend months advertising a
    show only to disappoint us? Other sports talking heads seem take the side of the fan, the MMA bloggers here seem more interested in silly gossip rather than honest, worthwile analysis. Like how awful TUF show is and how much of a sniveling prick dana is becoming.
