Couture says now Kimbo can 'prove he's a real fighter'

The crew at Xtreme Couture likes to watch the fists fly. RawVegas was on the scene on Saturday in Las Vegas as UFC heavyweight champ Randy Couture and several elite fighters viewed Seth Petruzelli's mild upset of Kimbo Slice. They went nuts when the fight was stopped after 14 seconds.

Couture knows better than anyone, a real fighter comes back stronger from his setbacks:

"Now you see what Kimbo is really made of. You don't measure a man by winning all the time. You measure how he deals with a loss. Does he pick himself up and get back on the horse? And comeback and show that he has a true champion spirit. I expect that he does."

You also see trainer Shawn Tompkins comment on the fight along with radio host turned fight trainer Ron Frazier. Fighters Jay Hieron and Sam Stout react to Kimbo's loss as well. Check out the crew watching Gina Carano's fight here.

    Cofield, I have not been on this blog in a while and now I know why. I am tired of reading your biased articles.....always knocking other organizations and pumping up the UFC. As much as I love MMA, you have a very negative vibe. Your last 6 articles on here all slam someone. I think Maggie Hendricks need to be the main blogger on here! She represents all of MMA without bias and consistently negative articles.

    Couture is a true class act... As for Kimbo now the test begins...He still has the media by the short curlys for all the hype they gave him so lets all set back and see just what he is truly made of...

    Clint, Cofield is a broken record on that account. Just have fun with it.. Couture should know about being tested, anytime someone taps that rasslers' chin he sucks canvas. If Couture feels so strongly about it, invite Slice to train with your camp.....Obviously Bas didn't get the job done..

    Clint, who did this article slam? Also where was the bias? Those fighters weren't even all UFC fighters. The only thing they had in common was they trained at Xtreme Couture.

    I like Courture, but he was whomped three times by Chuck Liddell. How many times must a man prove his worth by picking himself up and getting knocked down again?
    At some point you have to realize some mountains can't be climbed.
    Kimbo, like I keep saying over everyone's rhetoric, should have went to ToughMan contests where he would have ruled.
    MMA is not for streetfighters, there is just too many weapons to use and defend against.
