Alan Belcher and Marcus Davis delivered as underdogs but it wasn't much solice for dog players at they watched the favorites go 8-2 at UFC 93. Dan Henderson won the main event over Rich Franklin via split decision as a -130 favorite. One judge gave the nod to Franklin (30-27). The biggest chalk selections on the card were Martin Kampmann (-400), Mauricio Rua (-450) and Rousimar Palhares (-360). Rua and Kampmann won via TKO and Palhares rolled to a unanimous decision victory. If you bet the two underdog winners in Las Vegas, a Belcher ticket returned +200 and a $110 bet on Davis won $100.
Cage Writer tabbed both Davis and Belcher (pictured) as upset picks in our UFC 93 picks piece. We were 2-0 with our premium picks. That makes it 20-3 and +1755 dating back to September (UFC 88, UFN 15, UFC 89, UFC 90, UFC 91, TUF 8, UFC 92). We also got back on track with our three selections on the UFC 93 RawVegas video hitting on Henderson, Rua and Belcher.

Yahoo is doing an awesome job of delivering the goods on MMA. The writers seem to know the questions the fans are asking, and can string sentances together without insulting people they will never meet.
One last thing, if you are going to insult someone at their job make damn sure you have the resume proving you can do better. I am thinking not one of you could lace up Steve's boots when it comes to reporting this sport.

Anyway, I watched the fights again today and I am not convinced Rich lost although I think Dan will be a better fit for the TUF show. Watch the first round again and count the landed strikes etc. After further review, I thought Rich won the 1st round and we all know he won the 3rd. I am very suprised nobody has mentioned just how close that fight was. Shogun looked the same age as Coleman and a right hand from the Ice Man should send him to DREAM land, literally. His gas tank will take longer than a couple of months to improve enough to be seen. Chuck's days are over but he will beat Shogun. After that, he will take another loss from anyone willing to take him down and use any type of Jiu Jitsu on him. The prefect way for his carreer to end is a broken arm but people just love to stand and bang with a guy with arms so long they touch his knees and blame it all on "his take down defense is so good" It is??? Everyone that ever fought Chuck just stood there and banged with him and it's annoying. Now that he cannot win those wars except for Wandy who despite his ground game just loves to through his looping hooks till he either knocks you out (Jardine) or until you time it right on him (Chuck, Rampage). The 205 division is stacked but I cannot wait until we get a truly complete fighter in that group. Someone with stand-up and a ground game - Oh wait we have that perfect someone = Anderson Silva. Coleman, Shogun, Rashad, Chuck, Forrest, Wandy, Jardine, Rampage, Machida none of them can or will ever be able to beat Anderson. By the way Machida will lose his next fight to that animal he is facing and should of and would of lost to Tito's triangle had he not let it go for the armbar so get off his "dance fighting" jock.
MMA Coverage? I love the information Yahoo provides! They have a lot of video's and there are some great articles here too. MMA weekly, MMA Junkie and Sherdog do well at some things too, throw in UFC's website and ESPN's show and ask yourself what more do you want? There is a lot of excellent MMA coverage out there.
