All UFC 86 fighters make weight

LAS VEGAS — Forrest Griffin received a standing ovation from the large crowd in the Mandalay Bay Events Center when he stepped to the scale for the weigh-in for his light heavyweight title bout on Saturday at UFC 86 against champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.

Griffin, though, had little to say after coming in at the light heavyweight limit of 205 pounds. He peered at the crowd as it was roaring its approval and grinned.
"Nice to be fighting at home," Griffin, a Las Vegas resident, said.

Jackson, who also weighed 205, was greeted largely by a chorus of boos. He said, "All you Rampage haters out there, you better get used to this. I'm going to be around for a long time."

Other weights:
Josh Koscheck, 170, vs. Chris Lytle, 170.
Patrick Cote, 185, vs. Ricardo Almeida, 185.
Tyson Griffin, 155, vs. Joe "Daddy" Stevenson, 155.

Marcus Aurelio, 155, vs. Gleison Tibau, 156.
Justin Buchholz, 155, vs. Corey Hill, 155.
Cole Miller, 155, vs. Jorge Gurgel, 155.
Dennis Siver, 155, vs. Melvin Guillard, 155.
Justin McCully, 236, vs. Gabriel Gonzaga, 249.

yeah I like forest, but he's a goner, he just doesn't have the power. he doesn't have the punching power to knock Rampage out and if Hendo couldn't out-wrestle Rampage, Forest won't. so that leaves a submission as his only route to victory...I just don't see it happening. maybe just maybe if he can push the pace and control the action he could eake out a decision, but I think that's an even longer shot than a submission. maybe if Rampage comes to the match out of shape.

Everyone loves Rampage for this fight. I just can't count Forrest out...he is too tough. I think Rampage might be astonished and a lot frustrated when he lands big shot after big shot and Griffin is still standing.
    Go Forrest!
Yes, Rampage is favored for a reason...but we are talking about Forrest. I think it should be even money.

I think Forest will knock out rampage in the first round. Jackson will be overconfident and step into a big right hand and get KO'd. He's due to screw up and get laid out. If Forrest can't take him....I will!

This main event card is one of the most lopsided I've ever seen. It's a good thing they have a bunch of lightweight undercards to fill the time.

anyone else notice that it's gonna be
    Tyson Griffin vs. Marcus Aurelio
    and
    Joe Stevenson vs. Gleison Tibau
    NOT
Tyson Griffin, 155, vs. Joe "Daddy" Stevenson, 155. (as mentioned above)
i'd love to see a stevenson and tyson griffin fight, but in case anyone was looking forward to it, it isn't going to happen

The Champ will most always get the decision if it goes to the Judges. Forrest will have to win out right, by KO or submission, But I'm leaning for the younger Griffin.

griffin should last long enough to wear jackson out a bit and then begin to assert his will and eventually gain ground control and submit jackson. not to take away from jackson, if he lands hard and early forrest will def get rocked. but in the end, griffin as he has shown in the past, can go deep into a fight and still have some gas left in the tank. that should be enough for either a decision or submission!!!!!!!

I see an Anderson Silva/Rampage fight in mid 2009. After Silva makes minced meat out of Irvin, then defends his title against the Cote/Almieda winner, him and Rampage will have the fight of the decade for Rampages title.

As much as I love watching Forrest's fights because he lays it all on the line and can take a punch better than anyone, Rampage is just a beast. I don't know how someone so strong and muscular can cut weight to 205. He's really a man among boys at 205. He looked like he was well over 250 when he was on TUF and Griff was just walking around at 210-ish. Rampage is a beast who would dominate the heavyweights right now too.

Let's face it, Rampage will only be champion as long as Anderson Silva allows him to be.
    Listen for the footsteps Quentin.

Jackson will be outclassed.Too bad if he underestimates Griffin. They have beaten the same dudes some of which Griffin beat more recently.Jacksons dense muscle is tight and will burn out quicker aaginst a guy like Griffin.Griffin is doing bigger things and has more upswing.Griffin will win. He's an underdog too and in the perfect spot to upset the unsuspecting and complacent.Just my professional opinion.Last thing,if people here dont think Griffin is only gonna get better, then dont waste your money on pay per view if you are buying to watch Jackson because Griffins run started with his last couple of fights.peace.

Anderson Silva better stay where he is. He is due to get knocked out.
Forrest by a decision. They will let him bleed and his heart is bigger than Rampage's. Liddel will be Champ again before he retires.

I love and respect Griffin for taking the fight. His a man with much courage, you can tell by his fights. But unfortunately, Rampage is too much for him. Rampage is too strong too talented for griffin. So in the end lets separate the good fighters from the elite ones, and Rampage is in a differnt level from Griffin
