The Nationals recently finalized their coaching staff for 2010, adding a trio of veterans from manager Jim Riggleman's past to the three members of their 2009 staff they decided to bring back.

Hitting coach Rick Eckstein, third base coach Pat Listach and pitching coach Steve McCatty will all return. Former Mariners manager John McLaren will be the bench coach. Jim Lett, who was on the Dodgers' staff with Riggleman while he was the bench coach there, is the Nationals' new bullpen coach, and Dan Radison (who was on Riggleman's staffs in San Diego and Chicago) will coach first base.

Former bullpen coach Randy Knorr will manage the Nationals' Class AA team in Harrisburg, Pa., next season.

The Nationals say No. 1 draft pick Stephen Strasburg has a dislocation in his left knee joint and should be fine for spring training. Strasburg was examined Friday by Dr. Lewis Yocum in Los Angeles. The Nationals say Strasburg will not require surgery, and that treatment will include rest and physical therapy.

Former Seattle Mariners manager John McLaren was hired Friday as bench coach for the Washington Nationals, who rounded out manager Jim Riggleman's staff by also adding Jim Lett as bullpen coach and Dan Radison as first-base coach. McLaren replaces Pat Corrales, Lett takes over for Randy Knorr, and Radison replaces Marquis Grissom.
