Jamie Moyer fooled hitters with slow stuff, painted the corners and got outs the same way he's been doing it for 23 years and 600 starts. Moyer pitched neatly into the seventh inning, Jimmy Rollins hit a two-run double and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the New York Mets 4-1 on Saturday. "I really haven't figured anything out," Moyer said.

It had been a while—24 months, to be exact—since Rodrigo Lopez had felt like this.

Lopez completed his return from elbow ligament replacement surgery Friday night by making his first major-league start since July 26, 2007, and earning his first win since July 7, 2007. He allowed two runs in 6 1/3 innings for the Phillies in the opener of a three-game series against the New York Mets and left the mound to a standing ovation from a sellout crowd at Citizens Bank Park.

"It's been a while since I've been in this kind of environment," Lopez said. "The most people I see (in the minor leagues) is like 10,000. It was very exciting, pretty emotional."

Lopez, an eight-year major-league veteran, was a two-time 15-game winner with the Baltimore Orioles.
