    Remember on Saturday, when Jose Altuve failed to hit for the cycle against the Royals because he tripped around the second base bag? Angels second baseman Mike Trout must’ve felt bad for Altuve, so he did the same thing. Trout was 1-for-2 with a solo homer when he stepped to the plate against Astros starter Collin McHugh. Trout dunked a 1-2 fastball down the right field line. Right fielder George Springer expected a high bounce, but the ball just died upon hitting the grass, so it skipped past Springer.     Marlins, Cubs eyeing Aroldis Chapman

    The Aroldis Chapman sweepstakes continue to heat up, according to multiple reports. Buster Olney of ESPN recently reported that the Miami Marlins (41-35) have held internal discussions on Chapman as a trade target. The Marlins bullpen has the second most saves in the MLB and rank in the Top 11 in batting average against, strikeouts and ERA. Their current closer, A.J. Ramos, has a career-best 1.74 ERA and has 38 strikeouts in 31 innings pitched.
