Jamie Moyer fooled hitters with slow stuff, painted the corners and got outs the same way he's been doing it for 23 years and 600 starts. Moyer pitched neatly into the seventh inning, Jimmy Rollins hit a two-run double and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the New York Mets 4-1 on Saturday. "I really haven't figured anything out," Moyer said.

Oliver Perez didn't pitch exceptionally well in a rehab start for Class AAA Buffalo on Friday night. Still, a team source told the New York Daily News that the Mets plan to activate Perez from the disabled list to face the Dodgers next week at Citi Field.

Perez was charged with three runs on five hits in five-plus innings against Rochester. Often control-challenged, he walked four and threw only 46 of 92 pitches for strikes. The southpaw has missed two months with right knee inflammation after signing a three-year, $36 million deal last offseason.

"The most important thing is I'm feeling real good and I'm not thinking about my knee," Perez told the Buffalo News' Mike Harrington.

The left-hander is slated to start at Citi Field on Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Dodgers. "I'm ready tonight (to go to New York)," Perez said.
