Jose Reyes and Mets GM Sandy Alderson spoke for about an hour before Reyes signed with the Mets, where the "focal point" of the conversation was about Reyes' October arrest of domestic violence. Reyes was arrested in October for an alleged domestic violence incident, but the charges against him were dropped when his wife would not cooperate with police. Reyes was suspended for 52 games by Major League Baseball, after which the Rockies released him. Alderson said Saturday that Reyes is "remorseful" for what happened.
