Orioles' Gunnar Henderson breaks silence on controversial ending to Angels game

The Baltimore Orioles grinded out a 6-5 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday afternoon, giving them the victory in their three-game set against their American League West foe, but it didn't come without some controversy. After winning the American League Rookie of the Year award in 2023, Henderson has come out on fire to start the 2024 campaign (.309 BA, 8 HR, 20 RBI, 1.022 OPS). After allowing an unearned run earlier in the bottom of the ninth, Cragi Kimbrel walked Jo Adell with two outs to put the tying run on base. Adell immediately tried to steal second base, but he ended up getting thrown out by James McCann to end the game.
