Cecil Cooper would love to see right-hander Chris Sampson regain his form, beginning Saturday night when he starts against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.

After two consecutive disappointing outings and only two quality starts this year, Sampson gets a chance Saturday night to show that he has made some adjustments during his bullpen session.

"Well, it's important, I think, for Chris to kind of feel good about himself and get back to where he was last year at the beginning of the year," Cooper said. "Chris was probably our second best starting pitcher last year, especially the first half. And we have not seen that from Chris, really from spring training on.

"He didn't pitch well in the spring.
