Left-hander Taylor Tankersley said his velocity was down during the first month of the season, but it has been back up to its normal 90s range. That's why he's so frustrated about serving up two two-run home runs in the seventh inning Monday, raising his ERA from 5.73 to 8.25.

"We've got to get Tank through his funk," manager Fredi Gonzalez said.

The Marlins started that process almost immediately. Tankersley spent late Monday night reviewing video. He spent most of Tuesday working with pitching coach Mark Wiley on flaws in his mechanics.

But video won't erase what he did wrong on the first home run. Reds shortstop Jeff Keppinger fooled Tankersley with a coy decoy move by showing bunt on the first pitch.
