      <description><![CDATA[ <p><p>The Indians, fueled by right fielder Shin-Soo Choo's career night, snapped their five-game losing streak Friday night with a 15-3 rout of the Oakland A's. Choo was 4-for-5 with a single, a double, two home runs, four runs scored, and seven RBI.</p>
<p>It's been somewhat overlooked in the Indians' disappointing season, but Choo appears on his way to a career year. He is hitting .301 with 12 home runs and 53 RBI. Choo is also the Indians' best defensive outfielder, and he's probably their best all-around base runner as well.</p>
<p>Choo also had a stolen base Friday, his team-leading 13th of the season. He is 13-for-13 in stolen base attempts. Choo's consistent play&mdash;he ranks in the top five in the league in on-base percentage&mdash;has moved him into a prominent spot in the Indians'...]]></description>

The 32-year-old Abreu was brought up by Tampa Bay on June 14 and had a 2.45 ERA in two appearances. He was then designated for assignment on June 27. Abreu was 3-0 with 10 saves and a 1.41 ERA in 23 games at Triple-A Durham.</description>
