    Dodgers acquire Bud Norris from the Braves

    Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports that the Dodgers have acquired starter Bud Norris from the Braves. Joel Sherman of the New York Post confirms the deal. According to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports, the Braves will receive two as yet unknown prospects from the Dodgers. The Dodgers placed ace Clayton Kershaw on the disabled list on Thursday, adding to their long list of pitching woes. It was reported that they were actively searching for starting pitching help from outside the organization and it didn’t take them long to strike a deal.     The Boston Red Sox have been banned from signing international amateur free agents for one year, a penalty assessed after Major League Baseball concluded the team broke rules on signing bonuses last summer. Major League Baseball concluded the Red Sox and buscones — local trainer/representatives of the players — worked together to evade a $300,000 cap on signing bonuses to five Venezulan prospects who were 16 at the time: right-hander Cesar Gonzalez, infielders Antonio Pinero and Eduardo Torrealba, and outfielders Albert Guaimaro and Simon Muzziotti.
