      <description> &lt;p&gt;&lt;p&gt;A tough decision made by manager Dave Trembley demonstrated his compassion for his younger starting pitchers, while relating his confidence in the experience and maturity of veteran Steve Trachsel.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Because the Orioles are in a stretch during which they have three days off within an eight-day span, Trembley has chosen to employ a four-man rotation. He wants to keep younger and less experienced starters Garrett Olson and Brian Burres as close to their routine schedule as possible.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;To do that, the manager made the decision to skip Trachsel's turn at least once and then to possibly change his place in the rotation. Without hesitation, Trembley said, "We're going to go with four guys.</description>

No wonder Oakland manager Bob Geren was confident in the 10th inning Monday night.
