3 more plead guilty in Ripken monument theft (AP)

Three more men have pleaded guilty in the theft of Cal Ripken Jr.'s monument from Camden Yards. Twenty-year-olds Gary Parker and Matthew Rayner and 18-year-old Patrick Reynolds each pleaded guilty Friday to one count of conspiracy to commit theft over $500. Earlier this week, Jason Stoneburner, 19, pleaded guilty to theft.

The Orioles have some decisions to make when it comes to their 40-man roster.

As the team approaches the offseason in a rebuilding process, several key players must be protected before next month's Rule 5 draft.

Infield prospects Brandon Snyder, Josh Bell, Pedro Florimon, Ryan Adams, Blake Davis and Rhyne Hughes would be exposed to the draft process should the club leave them unprotected. The same goes for pitchers Brandon Erbe, Steve Johnson, Luis Lebron, Jim Hoey and Pedro Beato, the Baltimore Sun reported.

The Orioles have declined their $8 million option on Melvin Mora, allowing Baltimore's longest-tenured player to become eligible for free agency. Mora, 37, came to the Orioles in a 2000 trade with the New York Mets. He played 1,256 games for Baltimore, including 807 at third base -- the second-most in franchise history behind Brooks Robinson.
