    Latest on the trade market for relief pitchers

    The Mets and several other teams are reportedly looking to trade for relief pitching before the August 1 non-waiver trade deadline... 10:30 am: In the last 24 hours, Jim Johnson (Braves), Wade Davis and Luke Hochevar (Royals), Huston Street and Joe Smith (Angels) have all been mentioned as pitchers drawing interested from teams trying to upgrade their bullpen. In addition to the Mets, the Giants, Cardinals, Nationals, Red Sox, Indians, Rangers and Dodgers are all looking to add to their bullpen before Monday's 4 pm non-waiver trade deadline. "I think, realistically, the bullpen is the area we can get someone," Mets GM Sandy Alderson told reporters at Citi Field, when asked on July 25 if he plans to make a trade before the deadline.
