The Miami Marlins, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Angels, and, of course, Texas Rangers have all come up as possible landing spots for the best starting pitcher on the free-agent market this offseason: C.J. Wilson(notes).
Now word comes on what it could take to land Wilson: SI.com reports that the 30-year-old lefty wants a six-year, $120 million contract from his next team.
Wilson has gone 43-35 with a 3.60 ERA and 637 strikeouts since joining the Rangers in 2005. He made his first All-Star team in 2011, going 16-7 with a 2.94 ERA and 206 strikeouts in 223.1 innings pitched.
