MLB - Scoop Du Jour

Chicago White Sox general manager Kenny Williams is "desperately" trying to trade for Adam Dunn of the Washington Nationals, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Williams doesn't want to trade Carlos Quentin(notes) or Gordon Beckham(notes) but would give up Daniel Hudson(notes) or Dayan Viciedo(notes), according to the Sun-Times' source. But Nationals GM Mike Rizzo keeps asking for more than Williams will give up. "The problem Kenny is finding out is that Rizzo is acting like Dunn is Ryan Howard,''(notes) the source told the paper.

Williams told the paper that he isn't feeling great about getting any deals done: "If I'm being honest and completely transparent right now of the price that is being asked for some of the players that we've inquired about, for us, it's more detrimental to our present and our future than we'd like."
