Alex Rodriguez's teammates must wish they could divorce him too. "He's become a huge distraction with the Madonna fiasco," a source told Page Six. "It's always all about him." That explains why none of his fellow Yankees went to the All-Star bash he hosted at Jay-Z's 40/40 Club Monday night.

Instead, his mommy, Lourdes, and his new best friends, Guy Oseary and Ingrid Casares, were by his side in a corner booth as he threw back shots. And Casares was then spotted leaving A-Rod's Park Avenue pad yesterday afternoon. Reps from Berk Communications, who'd slapped Madonna's name on their tip sheet for the event, kept insisting she was on her way, but she never showed. Instead, A-Rod was entertained by big-busted hotties who shimmied to Material Girl tunes and desperately tried to make eye contact with him.

Over at Marquee, the more likable Derek Jeter threw a bash filled with pals like Billy Crystal and Michael Jordan. Jeter also brought his latest fling, Minka Kelly. They came in separately, but a spy said they were "very much together on the dance floor."

Meanwhile, Mets third baseman David Wright hosted a Vitamin Water party at Hudson Terrace, where Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, Paul Rudd and Yankee pitcher Joba Chamberlain listened to a midnight performance by 50 Cent

Maybe none of his fellow Yankees went because they had a couple days to spend with their families. Not saying Arod doesnt have one now...

Of the three, I would have gone to Jeter's party!!! Also I don't believe that anyone really cares as much as the post is trying to make people think.

"Please excuse Alex from Home Run Derby so he can host his D-List(?) party and knock back some 40's with Jay-Z and his mommy!" Signed, Epstein's mother

#7 Outstanding post, no one ever takes time to think like that. I , however, would much rather hang out with Billy Crystal and Michael Jordan anyday without a doubt, not to mention Derek Jeter, the class act that he is!!!!

I've never thought much of RodJob because he has never made the teams he played for into winners. His post-season impact is around what I would expect from someone making the league minimum. And now he has shown that he is a creep too. With Isiah Thomas gone, and Dinglebury likely gone soon, it looks like RodJobs ascends to being the uncontested biggest anus in NY sports.

Good thing Yankees signed him to that extension. Good thing for Boston and Tampa Bay.

what a great teammate sleaze-rod is. If he didn't go 0-2 he wouldn't have left. He doesn't have to worry about home field advantage b/c as long as sleaze-rod is in pin stripes, they won't win

Arod is slowly reaching the status of Cemmens, and Bonds. He suckered the Yankees into increaseing his contract, and now his life is going down the drain. Doesnt baseball have a moral code that has to be followed, or you can be charged with breach of contract. Its time for the commisoner to step in.
