Jason Schmidt told Los Angeles Dodgers manager Joe Torre that his arm felt tired during his side session according to the Los Angeles Times.

The right-hander, Torre said, isn't feeling pain but "doesn't have the life he had in his arm earlier." The manager said the development is no cause for alarm, given that Schmidt resumed pitching only in November.

Ol Ned acts like he has Jim Tracy telling him what to do. wtf ned?? Give Ned credit on pulling the Ethier/Bradley trade, but the signings of Schmidt, Pierre, Gonzalez, among others are horrible. He also overpayed on Furcal, and signed Pierre when we were lacking a big bat..wtf ned?? I do like Furcal though! If Laroche cannot produce at 3b then Ned is really a moron. These 2 possible lineups, one with pierre and one without him, anyone on here find the one with Pierre to be better? Martin ends up at the end of the order with pierre in there.
    Furcal Pierre
    Martin Furcal
    Kemp Kemp
    Loney Loney
    Kent Kent
    Jones Jones
    Ethier Martin
    Laroche Laroche

you guys are all ignorant. its barely been two weeks into spring training. let the man prove himself during the season...and when he is starting at the all-star game you guys are all going to say OH WE KNEW IT ALL ALONG. grow up. Id rather a healthy Schmidt during the season than a tired arm in Feb.

This guy was/is a liar. Ned got snookered by his tales of being a pitcher. He should give back every nickle

Is there a way in MLB to buyout a contract so we can just cut our losses and move on? Even if he is tired...don't you think that he would not want to admit that right now. Come on Ned, lets let him go....

Ned is bad at free agents. He gives Pierre a fat contract then the next year goes out and gets another outfielder that plays the same position. Jones can't even hit as well as Pierre. Ned needs to let the young kids play and forget free agents. He does as well signing them as his former boss up north.

    Dudes,
The guy is NOT COMPLAINING!!! He is expected to comment on how his arm is feeling when he's rehabing. Complaining? Please!!! "Oh, hows your arm?", and Schmidt's thinking to himself "my arm feels like its about to fall off", but says "everything is wonderful". So they push him too hard and he really does blow out his arm and end his career. The guy is letting the trainers know what he's feeling, which in turn gets reported on by the media. The only complainers out there are the whiners on this message board. Give the guy some slack, when he gets called on to pitch, he'll be ready...
