Don't we have an off season, spring training, and then a 162 game season to play? Isn't it a bit early to be picking the World Champions?

Oh please...what is it with you people and your immaturity? The Red Sox don't suck. If they "suck" then the Yankees "suck" worse since they didn't even make the playoffs. Why don't people say something that everyone can contribute to and give opinions on, instead of trying to cause problems.

    RSFFNY,
The season just ended and the ding-dongs are starting with the status quo. You would have thought they would have at least googled suck and get another word. That is if they can spell suck.

The Detroit Tigers will rebound in '09. They'll recover from pitching woes. The offence is there.

How the hell can you 'favor' the Red Sox now to win it when we don't know who's going to play in that dump known as Fenway?

I wish the stupid writers would stop making predictions considering baseball just ended.I think they should make it when baseball is started in 09.

How are the Brewers and Mets above the Twins? CC and Sheets are probably gone from the Brewers, and the Mets have 7/10 of a pitching staff to turn over. #19 what offense? They led the major leagues in getting shutout the most times and Renteria and Sheffield are not returning. This article is obviously based on what they expect these teams to do in the off-season, because many of these so called favorites have tons of holes to fill.

    Hey R#1,
Well, we both have learned one thing. We both will have to take the Rays more seriously. I just hope & pray the injury bug has left us both. I hope we don't sign Manny. I don't like that leach manager he has. I know Texeria has him also.
Maybe ARod can talk Texeria into firing Boras. They were teammates.

The Red Sox need Varitek back or they won't be 3-1 odds on April 1st. The Cubs need Dempster back or they won't be 5-1 odds starting on April 1st. The Phillies should be back for more in '09, what a great team!

9, Red Sox fan from NY. Why is it the Yankees are always the culprit? Ya know there are other teams and fans out there. Is it possible that all things negative to the your Sox don't come from NY?
