The Philadelphia Phillies may have one of the most fearsome collections of pitching arms in baseball history right now, but they still need to score runs and catch a few balls to reach the World Series in 2011.
After all, who is going to take a 38-year-old who is owed $11.5 million for 2011 and who batted .275 with 16 homers? FOXSports.com reports that the Phils aren't planning to trade the New York City native.
Fifth starter Joe Blanton(notes) is still the likeliest man on the Phillies' roster to get traded to help alleviate the financial burden the Phils took on when signing Lee. FOX Sports reports that the Phils have talked to "multiple teams" about Blanton, who has two years and $17 million left on his contract.
