The Philadelphia Phillies lineup is nearly back to full health. Chase Utley(notes) rejoined the team two nights ago after recovering from thumb surgery and Ryan Howard, who has been out with a sprained left ankle, is expected back on the field Monday, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
"There's still a little bit of soreness," Howard told the paper. "I actually felt good running today."
Howard is expected to go on a rehab assignment this weekend and rejoin the team when it starts a series against the Houston Astros.
Utley mustered two hits Wednesday night as the team took a two-game lead over the San Francisco Giants in the wild-card race.
