Not much interest in Tejada yet

So far, there's not much interest in Miguel Tejada of the Baltimore Orioles. The Orioles are openly marketing the veteran shortstop, who said he would consider a move to third base with a contender.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Chicago White Sox GM Ken Williams said he had no interest in Tejada. The Philadelphia Phillies probably can't take on Tejada's salary and the Angels are in the Alex Rodriguez mix and will not think about anyone else until A-Rod is in uniform with them or someone else.

Asked whether he has heard a lot of speculation about a potential Tejada trade, one American League GM said: "No, not much at all."

Tejada may go to the Yankees. The Yankees have been known for turning former All Star SS and puting them in 3rd.

Tejada's offense would look good for the Cubs at SS, but I do not think he can get the good done on defense and he is another righty bat. I would rather see the Cubs get A-Rod for SS.

His range is not what is was, but he still has a lot of pop in his bat. A move to 3rd would be good. Yankees?

Tejada would consider moving to 3rd as long as the team is a contender. That's crap. Yo Miggy, you were supposed to MAKE the ORIOLES a contender. Not ride on the shirttails of your teammates. Some players just can't get it up when it counts. Like A-rod, Miggy, Mo Rivera. Hahahaha. I just had to rip a yankee player. It's fun reading the follow ups!
Seriously, Miggy's not able to juice up anymore, so he's gonna be playing in Venezuala soon.

Take it to the bank, when the yankees steal mike lowell from the red sox the sox will trade Coco Crisp and the famous player to be named to the orioles. Tejada will be the starting third baseman next year for the red sox

Anyone will be better than that locker room cancer. Baltimore, ship him away. Far away. A folding chair with a baseball glove on it could play better defense. He has a $75 million dollar deal and can barely hit 20 HR's a year. I would take a single A pitcher and a half a bottle of beer in a trade if I were O's GM.

Sign him to a short term deal to play SS for St. Louis. You fill SS and you get some protection for Pujols. Two birds with one stone.

Tejada would help the Phils but of course im getting strapped in for another Phillie offseason of promises of riches to leave us all with some overpaid scrub. I would love to see the Phils be aggresive for once and get a solid player.

When A-Rod is on another team than Tejada will get interest. The O's should still get a good return on him, he is a productive hitter that still hits for average.

Why don't the orioles go after A-Rod? They need a bat to go with tejada and millar and moras getting old. They got starting pitching (Bedard, Cabrera, etc.), they just need a bat or two and some bullpen help. Plus whats better....having A-Rod in a Yankee or Red Sox uniform or having him in a Os uni?
