MLB - Scoop Du Jour

There are less than two weeks before spring training and the Florida Marlins are apparently trying to add another decent bat. The two names that supposedly interest the team most are Carlos Delgado(notes) and Darin Erstad(notes), according to the Miami Herald.

Since the team lost Ross Gload(notes) to the Philadelphia Phillies, it has been looking around to find a replacement and first baseman/outfielder Erstad and Delgado both could fit, though Delgado is apparently looking to make a lot of dough and nobody seems willing to give that to him right now.

Delgado pretty much missed the whole season due to injury. Meanwhile, Erstad spent last year with the Houston Astros, batting .194 with two homers.
