Florida Marlins shortstop Hanley Ramirez(notes) felt his left shoulder pop out and then, luckily, back in again after he landed awkwardly while trying to grab a pop fly from New York Mets center fielder Angel Pagan(notes) on Tuesday night, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
The injury came in the sixth inning; Ramirez was immediately visited by trainer Sean Cunningham and manager Jack McKeon, who escorted Ramirez back to the dugout.
"Obviously it's going to be sore," Ramirez said Tuesday, the paper reports. "I just have to ice a couple more times and see how it feels [Wednesday] morning. Definitely, I felt it went out and come back in.""
The team has Ramirez, who is hitting .243 with 10 homers, listed as day-to-day.
