Major League Baseball's All-Star Game will be at the home of the Los Angeles Angels this season and at the Arizona Diamondbacks' place in 2011. The New York Mets will apparently play host in 2013 with an A.L. city getting the nod in 2012 and 2014.
Now word is coming out of the Sunshine State that you shouldn't bet against the Florida Marlins getting the 2015 game, according to the Palm Beach Post. Marlins president David Samson went so far as to tell a FanFest crowd: "It has not been confirmed yet, but if you thought to yourself, ‘We will host the All-Star Game in 2015,' you would probably not be misleading yourself."
Samson could be getting himself into trouble with the league here because there supposedly have only been very preliminary talks about this and the league likes to make such announcements on it own. "We're confident that that will be the year," Samson went on to say.
And we're confident the league will be calling Samson soon to find out what he's talking about.
