Lidge to remain closer

Houston Astros manager Phil Garner said "yes" when asked if he'll enter spring training with Brad Lidge as his closer.

"I think he made a whole bunch of adjustments last year, and in the process of making (them it made) him a lot better," Garner said.

Lidge needs to move on and and get a fresh start somewhere else. Garner is the only one with confidence in Lidge's ability to be a closer.

I think they look pretty good. They got the Wiz back and theyre lineup is looking much better. Trading Willy T would be a huge mistake, and they need one more ace.

I think Lidge is a lost cause. I would love for him to come out of this rut that he has been but I don't think it is going to happen any time soon.

TOTALLY straight fastballs ALWAYS on the outside corner no matter how fast will get rocked. Ask Lidge. Needs to work on sinker(which he started to do late last year) and pitching to both sides of the plate and he will be okay again. Every once in a while come up and in, and you will see Lidge get better. The reason Lidge got in trouble were always walks, then getting behind hitters only to throw a fastball on the outside corner EVERYTIME. He must understand he is TOO predictable. This is his Main problem.
