Each day, another NBA player signs with a team in a foreign land or at least expresses interest in playing somewhere else if the NBA lockout can't be worked out.

So it's kind of refreshing when a player comes out and expresses interest in playing for an actual NBA team. Slam Online reports that forward Carl Landry, who will be a free agent when the new CBA is agreed upon, has some interest in joining the Portland Trail Blazers whenever the next season rolls around.

"I think I can fit in with Portland," Landry told the site. "They're in need of a big post presence down low. I'm not taking anything away from [Greg] Oden and [Marcus] Camby. I just know what I can provide. The Blazers are a good team and I know I can help."

Landry played 53 games for the Sacramento Kings last season before being traded to the New Orleans Hornets. Slam notes that Landry is willing to give the Hornets the first chance to sign him.

The 6-9 Wisconsin native averaged 11.9 points and 4.6 rebounds last season.
