If the Lake Erie midges invade Progressive Field this weekend like they did last October when the place was known as Jacobs Field, Joba ChamberlainJoba Chamberlain is ready according to the New York Post.

"I do have a bucket of vinegar just in case," said the reliever, who was on the mound late in Game 2 of the ALDS against the Indians when the bugs swarmed him.

Much was made about the bugs being the reason Chamberlain uncorked two wild pitches, one that led to the Indians scoring the tying run in the eighth inning, and the YankeesNew York Yankees lost, 2-1, in 11 innings to go down, 0-2, in the best-of-five series they lost in four games. Afterward, Joe Torre second-guessed himself for not asking the game to be stopped.

Nasty sliders but must learn how to throw the fastball in order to be sucessful. Should hire D. Gooden just for a one on one tudor! At this point...many of the players are looking forward to get more at bats against Joba b/c of all the hype! If he starts now...the hype will be over!

hey live4surf first of all what do u mean by that and by the way linsucum looked great on record last night
but the offense is quite pathetic and I really wish your 2 aces were with boston meaning linsicum and cain
cause they would help out big time.

hey live4surf no disrespect towards your team but whoever is the gm of your team made the biggest mistake of signing him to 6 years and what really surprises me is the fact that the nl is not even close to a better league than the al meaning hitting and he still got rocked last year and so far this year but I would love to have 1 of those pitchers I mentioned earlier linesucom and cain.

Too late for the vinegar Joba, you blew that game whether there were bugs or not. You also blew the game against the White Sox the other night. Let's face the truth here, Joba is and will be a very good relief pitcher but he is NOT what the Yanks and all their braindead announcers think he is.
