Catcher Ivan Rodriguez(notes) probably won't start one more game behind the plate this season, according to Instead, Nationals manager Davey Johnson is going to give his younger guys some time to mature.

"He is a first-ballot Hall of Famer," Johnson said about Rodriguez, according to the site. "He can still play. I have two guys that need to play more than he does for the reasons that are beneficial to the club."

But this doesn't mean that the 39-year-old 14-time All-Star is planning to hang up his hat at season's end.

The 13-time Gold Glover, who only needs 158 more hits to get to 3,000 hits, is a free agent at season's end and says he wants to play four more seasons in the majors, the site reports.
